EG Library Kicks Off Summer Reading with Illusionist Leon Etienne!

You’ve seen him on America’s Got Talent, Jimmy Fallon, and Penn & Teller: Fool Us! Illusionist Leon Etienne rocks venues around the world with his jaw-dropping, critically acclaimed hit show, Magic Rocks! On June 27 at 2 pm in the Genet Elementary School auditorium the East Greenbush Community Library will be kicking off its Summer Reading Program with a family-friendly event featuring the world’s best illusions, award-winning sleight of hand, and hilarious comedy, in an immersive experience that brings joy, laughter, and wonder when the world needs it most! The East Greenbush Community Library’s Summer Reading Program officially begins June 26 and runs through August 11, and you’re invited to come into the library to celebrate reading, nature, and exploration guided by this year’s theme, “Read Beyond the Beaten Path.” Participants of all ages can read books and complete the challenge activities for a chance to win fantastic prizes! You can expect storytimes and nature programs for the kids, and games and art for the teens. Adults can look forward to book clubs, concerts, and craft events, and there will be special performers for all ages! Families can join in the fun with our all-ages Bingo night, take part in our Tiny Art Show, and paint kindness rocks together to spread cheer throughout the community. Summer is the perfect time to get off the beaten path, enjoy a great read, and explore new books and authors! Registration begins June 26th.
