Hello Warrior fans! Our spring sports season is officially underway for our Averill Park varsity teams.

The softball team opened their season on 3/30 with a 8-7 win over Saugerties thanks to a walk off RBI from Bella Mahar. Abbey Nagel also had a strong showing, going 3-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs. The girls moved to 2-0 on 4/1 with a 6-5 win over Albany. Bella Mancino had a two run walkoff homerun in the seventh inning to secure the huge win. The softball team will face Tamarac in their next game on 4/9.

The baseball team started off their season with a 7-2 win against South Glens Falls on 4/2. Ethan Nardacci and Hunter Willett were both dominant on the mound, with Willett throwing seven strikeouts in four innings. Nicholas Galuski also had two hits in the winning effort. The baseball team will travel to Troy on 4/11 for their next game.

The girls lacrosse team, who are the defending sectional champions, defeated Ballston Spa 10-6 on 3/31. Gwen Jamison and Gianna Geraci led the team with four and two goals respectively.  Lilli VanDerKar, Lizzie Hansen, Abby Houser & Nicole Wing all scored in the win as well while Ellie Garrison had nine saves in goal. The lacrosse team travels to Shaker for their next game on 4/7.

The boys lacrosse team fell 15-5 in their opener against Ballston Spa on 3/31. Jacob Phelps had a hat trick in the losing effort. The lacrosse team will take on Troy on 4/12 for their next game.
