Hello Warrior fans! Sectional play is set to begin very soon for the spring sports teams. 

The softball team defeated Colonie 9-8 on 5/9, thanks to a huge four run seventh inning to take the lead. Emily Aiossa earned the win on the mound for the girls while Maisie Dawson had a three run homerun and Bella Mahar had two RBIs. The softball team fell 5-2 against Columbia on 5/10, but turned it round with a huge 9-0 win over Niskayuna on 5/11 in their senior night game. Madi Rose had a huge game, going 3-3 with three runs scored. Abigail Colwill went the distance, only allowing two hits in the win. 

The baseball team fell 9-4 against a tough Colonie team on 5/9. The boys turned it around on 5/11, beating Niskayuna 9-4 to clinch the Suburban Council’s gray division title. Ethan Nardacci pitched five innings, striking out six in the win. Michael Wormuth and Steve Koval also had two hits apiece. 

The tennis team fell 7-2 against Niskayuna on 5/11. Matt Frost won on the singles end while the doubles team of Kyle Millington & Owen Perala won on the doubles end. The tennis team opened up sectional play on 5/14, defeating Troy 7-0 in the first round. Singles winners were Zach Ryan, Christian Romer, Cavan Hicks, Greg Effman, and Thomas Nero. Doubles winners were Ryan Richter & Jason Strickland and Millington & Perala.

The boys lacrosse team fell to Shaker on 5/9, with a 16-5 final score. Ethan Jamison had a hat trick while Luke Hempel and Nick Rogers added the other two goals. Hempel also had the three assists in the loss. The lacrosse team was able to pick up an 11-8 win over Colonie the following day. Jacob Phelps and Ethan Jamison each had 4 goals while Aubrey Loucks-Best had nine saves in goal.

The girls lacrosse team faced Niskayuna on 5/13, where they fell 13-3. Gwen Jamison scored twice and Gianna Geraci added the third goal. Ellie Garrison had nine saves in goal.
