North Greenbush Public Library Update

NORTH GREENBUSH – The North Greenbush Public Library will be closed for New Year’s, Thursday, December 31, and Friday, January 1, reopening Saturday, January 2, 10 AM.

“Spinning Silver” by Naomi Novik, a New York Times bestseller, will be the topic of discussion at the library’s next virtual book club meeting on Tuesday, January 19, at 6:30 PM. Called “One of the year’s strongest fantasy novels” by NPR, Novik’s novel won the Audie Award for Fantasy and was named one of the ten best books of the year by the New York Public Library. Call the library to request a copy and the Zoom link.

New Year’s will pass, but our gustatory indulgences hang on. Take control with Jane Scrivner’s book “The Quick-Fix Hangover Detox,” available as an eBook on Hoopla. And while you’re making resolutions for 2021, check out “Help Me! One Woman’s Quest To Find Out if Self-Help Really Can Change Your Life,” by Marianne Power, also on Hoopla.

We have strengthened our WiFi signal so that it can be accessed outside the library on Douglas Street. It’s available 24 hours, seven days a week, so you never need to be unconnected.

Our library hours for appointments and Grab ‘N’ Go remain Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat 10 AM to 2 PM; Tues/Thurs 3-7 PM. A mask is required for both Grab ’N’ Go pick-up and appointments. You may reach us at 518-283-0303.
