The fall sports season finished up this week for Averill Park as the girls’ soccer season officially came to a close.

AP took on Section 3 champions Jamesville-Dewitt in a frigid and windy regional match on 11/3. After a scoreless first half, the Warriors ended up falling 1-0 in a tight game throughout. It marked the end of a historic season for AP. The girls were a powerhouse within the Suburban Council this year and recorded the program’s first ever win against Shen before taking home the Section 2 Championship in Class A.

The girls’ and boys’ cross-country teams competed in sectionals on 11/2. The boys placed seventh in Class B play and the girls took home third. Eighth grader Logan Baraslow ran a time of 19:19 for the girls and advanced to the State Championships which will take place in Long Island on 11/10.
