Sand Lake Town Library Update

SAND LAKE – Hope this finds you all healthy and well! Please remember that even though our building is closed to the public, Sand Lake Town Library staff are still working to provide you access to downloadable ebooks, audiobooks, magazines and movies as well as information on online events, book groups, readings, kids activities and more. Ancestry.com will continue to allow at-home access through the end of May – just go to uhls.org and scroll down to the ancestry.com link. Need a library card? Click the “submit” button under the “Search the Catalog!” link on our website sandlaketownlibrary.org, then select “Get a Library Card” from the menu options at the top of the UHLS page.

Information and activities are shared daily on our facebook page and we recently started a “Things to do today…” post on our website. Our book group has gone virtual and is currently reading “On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous.” Email info@nullsandlaketownlibrary.org if you’d like to join their next discussion on June 3.

For those of you who don’t care for the online world, give us a call and leave a message letting us know how we can help. We are limited by the current COVID-19 regulations & guidelines, but will do what we can even if it’s just a friendly chat over the phone. If you know of someone who could use a phone call or letter, send us their contact info and we’ll be happy to connect with them.

Remember the Upper Hudson “Cookbook Challenge” that’s taking place during this quarantine – just email/mail your favorite family recipe or quarantine creation to: info@nullsandlaketownlibrary.org; SLTL, 8428 Miller Hill Road, Averill Park, NY 12018.

The SLTLibrary Board of Trustees will hold a virtual meeting Thursday, May 21. Connection info will be posted on our website the day of the meeting.

Stay well – be well and we hope to see you soon!
