Sand Lake Town Library News – Memoir Class

SAND LAKE – Is life at home making you feel more reflective? These unprecedented times are a great time to start writing. Join us for a memoir writing class Mondays at 1 pm on zoom. Instruction, writing prompts, and laughter promised. There is no fee, but in order to participate you need to be able to connect to a zoom invite with both audio and video. Class will be six weeks. Participants will learn the basics of a good memoir and get feedback on their own writing. Class will begin May 4th and end on June 8th. You can also join our book club which will be meeting Wednesday, May 6 at 7pm on zoom to discuss “Circe” by Madeline Miller. Email director@nullsandlaketownlibrary.org for information.

NASSAU – The library is closed but our service is still open. Visit www.nassaufreelibrary.org to access free databases and get info. on services available to you from home. Looking to discover your roots? Use your library card for free access to the Ancestry.com. UHLS libraries including Nassau all have access to hoopla; a digital service that gives patrons access to ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, movies, and television shows. All you need is a library card. If you don’t have a card, no problem! Go to our website and get a card online. Have a card, but think it’s expired? Just send us an email and we will get in touch to update your account.
