Hike to Grandfather Rock the Glacial Erratic at Dyken Pond EEC 

Saturday, Nov. 27: 1pm – 3pm – Hike to Dyken Pond’s largest glacial deposit and learn about the role glaciers played in helping form our landscape. All ages welcome but must be able to hike 2.5 miles. $2 per person. Preregistration is required for all programs at (518) 658-2055 or dykenpond@nullgmail.com. Tuesday Treksat Dyken Pond EEC

GRAFTON – Every Tuesday 12:30 – 2:30  Join Len Tremblay on a moderately paced 3 mile hike every Tuesday in November to explore the wilds of Dyken Pond Center. Learn the trail system one at a time with a knowledgeable guide. Each week we’ll discover new ground and nature. Hikes will be cancelled in bad weather. This program is for adults and older teens. East Greenbush Li`l Devils Youth Wrestling Program

EAST GREENBUSH – Howard L. Goff Middle School (Cafeteria). November 29th-March 3rd (Every Monday & Thursday) / Times: ( K-2) 6-7 PM  & (3-8)  7-8 PM 

Registration: November 29th from 6pm-7:30 pm 

Fee:  $85 * $135 for 2members in the same family. Includes:  T-shirt, NY-USA Wrestling Additional Insurance, 3 months of Instructional Practices.

Grades: K-2nd &  3rd through 6th Grades   (Boys & Girls).  We will make adjustments as necessary to accommodate proper grouping based on weight, age and skill level. Please wear a T-Shirt, shorts or sweatpants, sneakers or wrestling shoes. 

** No Wrestling experience is necessary for any grade level. We`ll teach you the fundamentals of Wrestling. The program will offer various levels of instruction tailored to the skill levels of the wrestlers in the program. A variety of wrestling games & techniques to improve coordination and agility will also be included. Wrestling is the best discipline sport that teaches good character, sportsmanship and life skills while improving all areas of physical fitness.

The program will be taught by the Columbia Wrestling High School and Modified Wrestling staff. In addition the staff will have a National All American as the Head Instructor along with the Columbia High school Wrestlers who will also be assisting in the program. If any parents have a background in wrestling and would like to volunteer help please inform the staff at registration.

AP Youth Basketball Hoop Camp 2021-2022

AVERILL PARK – APYB is pleased to announce that Hoop Camp is back for the 2021-2022 season! Hoop Camp is for boys and girls in Grades K-3. It will start on Saturday Dec 4th and end on Saturday February 19th.(see schedule below) Hoop Camp is a fundamental Basketball program that will include skills, drills, contests and fun games. During one of the Saturday sessions, Hoop Camp will be run by the AP Varsity and JV teams! Each participant will receive a basketball and an APYB dri-fit T-Shirt. Cost is $100. There is a family discount for multiple participants from the same family. If financial assistance is needed, please contact us. APYB is an all volunteer organization. We are in need of volunteers to either lead or help with every level of Hoop Camp. If you can help in any way, please either note in your Registration or send an email to the address listed below. Also a great way for HS Students to gain valuable volunteer experience!
