Recreational soccer primarily devotes itself to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on high-level pressure to win.

Early Bird Registration open until July 29th: $90. Late Registration July 30th through August 5th: $110. 

Season runs August 28th through October 29th. Games Sundays @ AP High School, starting September 10th. Open to Pre-K through 8th grade. **Pre-K- must be 4 before Aug 15, 2023**

Boys Summer Lacrosse

CAPITAL DISTRICT – Capitalland summer lacrosse programs will be starting June 27 and go through mid August with half day camps and evening programs.  Our programs are open to all beginners, novice, and advanced skilled players in grades K – 10 throughout the capital district at a fraction of the cost of other local programs.    Our staff includes some of the finest past and present coaches in the capital district.  Our summer lineup includes:  Tuesday evening lacrosse programs – June 27 – August 8; Day camp – 9 am to noon on July 10 – 14; Night camp – 6 pm to 8 pm August 7 –11.  In each of our programs we will have the following age and skill levels:  A 5th – 9th grade advanced skills Coach Corner; A 5th – 10th grade novice skill program; A 5th – 10th grade beginner skill program; A 2nd – 4th grade full equipment program for all levels of players; A co-ed grades k – 5th non-contact learn to play program. Summer Tennis Camp for Kids at Sky High Community Center

This fun one or two week Summer Tennis Camp for young beginners. Registration is open for the full two week camp or for just session 1 or just session 2. The Camp Director is SHAC Tennis Pro “The Tennis Coach” Joe Behson. 

Session 1 is July 10-13 9AM to 12:30PM Mondays through Thursdays. Session 2 is July 17-20 also Mondays through Thursdays from 9AM to 12:30PM. The Camp will take place at the APHS Tennis Courts (or indoors during inclement weather at the nearby Community Center, 27 Lake Avenue in Averill Park ). We are enrolling up to 30 campers, grades 3-7 – and partial scholarships are available. 

Campers should bring a light lunch, snacks and chilled water with them daily. All campers will receive a Tennis Camp tee shirt. Parents are encouraged to provide junior racquets but instructors will have a number of junior racquets available for player use if that is necessary.

BLCC Mixed Scramble Results – June 23rd

Brian Frazee, Mary Smith, Ron Choquette, and Kate Savage shot 33 to win the June 23rd Friday night mixed scramble tournament at Burden Lake C.C. 

Finishing second were Gary and Michelle Sprague with Scott Rose and Paula Cornelius at 35. Third were Peter Gray, Chris Brown, Chris Campbell, and Kayla Balasco, also at 35.

Other scores: 36 – Charles Cole, Katie Baldwin with Harold and Chrissy Roder. Also 36 – Matt and Peggy Heeran with Cindy Haegle and Linda Smith; 37 – Bill and Kelly Haupt with Jamie and Colleen Roberts.

Kayla Balasco won closest to the pin on the 15th hole.

BLCC Women’s Wednesday Golf League Results – June 28, 2023

Team Hart defeated Team Brown (11.0 points to 8.5 points) and Team MacGilfrey

defeated Team Messier (11.0 points to 7.5 points) on the back nine of BLCC in the 10th week of league play. 

Low net scores were recorded by Kiki Hart (33), and June MacGilfrey, Jane Wimmer, and Jessica Short (35). Great scores!! 

Team standings through the first ten weeks of play are: 

1st place Teams Brown with 80.5 points. 2nd place Team Hart with 77.5 points. 3rd place Team MacGilfrey with 77.0 points. 4th place Team Messier 65.0 points.

Next week Team Brown takes on Team MacGilfrey and Team Hart faces Team Messier on BLCC’s front nine!!!
