BLCC Women’s Wednesday Golf League Results – June 14, 2023
The weather did not cooperate with the BLCC Wednesday Women’s league last Wednesday night….almost half of the tee times were rained out before the sun came out and the remaining tee times were played in beautiful weather. With only seven golfers competing, the results of the BLCC Women’s Golf League from June 14th are:
Team Messier defeated Team Hart (4.0 points to 1.0 point) and Team MacGilfrey defeated Team Brown (3.5 points to 0.5 points) on the back nine of BLCC in the 8th week of league play.
Low net scores were recorded by Deb Jewell and Lisa McGrath (39) and Carol Fasoldt and Barb O’Donnell (42).
Team standings through the first eight weeks of play are:
1st place Teams Brown with 62.5 points. 2nd place Team Hart with 60 points. 3rd place Team MacGilfrey with 54.5 points. 4th place Team Messier 51 points.
Next week Team Brown plays Team Messier and Team Hart faces Team MacGilfrey on BLCC’s front nine!!! See you all next Wednesday!

Boys Summer Lacrosse
CAPITAL DISTRICT – Capitalland summer lacrosse programs will be starting June 27 and go through mid August with half day camps and evening programs. Our programs are open to all beginners, novice, and advanced skilled players in grades K – 10 throughout the capital district at a fraction of the cost of other local programs. Our staff includes some of the finest past and present coaches in the capital district. Our summer lineup includes: Tuesday evening lacrosse programs – June 27 – August 8; Day camp – 9 am to noon on July 10 – 14; Night camp – 6 pm to 8 pm August 7 –11. In each of our programs we will have the following age and skill levels: A 5th – 9th grade advanced skills Coach Corner; A 5th – 10th grade novice skill program; A 5th – 10th grade beginner skill program; A 2nd – 4th grade full equipment program for all levels of players; A co-ed grades k – 5th non-contact learn to play program. 4th Annual Patriot Golf Tournament
The 4th Annual Patriot Golf Tournament will be held at the Fairways of Halfmoon, 17 Johnson Rd. Mechanicville N.Y. Saturday, July 22nd.
Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m., shotgun start 9:00 a.m., 4-person scramble, $500 per team/$125 per individual which includes 18 holes with cart, continental breakfast, lunch at the turn, buffet dinner; raffles, team and individual prizes. Any participant who brings five donated items for the program will receive five free raffle tickets (excludes grand prize). See http://www.operationadoptasoldier.org for a list of items needed.
All proceeds will go to Operation-Adopt-a-Soldier, a non-profit volunteer organization in Saratoga Springs who send packages to our service men, women and families stationed overseas as well as helping veterans at home. Their motto is “YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN”

Reservations are on first come, first serve basis as the response last year was tremendous. Thanks to all who participated as an abundance of donated items were brought in and over $7,000 was raised.
