Poestenkill News Update from Sue Horton, Poestenkill Town Clerk:

The following is an overview of the items discussed at the December 8, 2022, Town Board Meeting. 

Resolution #31-2022- Declaring SEQRA Lead Agency for the Shuhart Planned Development District (Wind Drift Meadows Senior Housing) was unanimously approved. Other items of interest included the need to replace the roof at Town Hall, the request to provide Storz Connectors for all hydrants, and the RFP for a new Town website. Representatives of the Planning Board, the Zoning Board, the Fire Company, the Library, the Water Department, the Highway Department, and the Town Board members each provided a summary of their activities this month. 

Should you need more information on any of these subjects, call Sue Horton on (518) 283-5119. Tax bills will be going out the last week in December. Remember it is the property owner’s responsibility to make sure that snow and ice is cleared from the sidewalk in front of their property.

As we complete this year, Supervisor Hammond, and the rest of the “Poestenkill Team” want you all to have a Happy Holiday Season and Our Best Wishes for good Health and Happiness in 2023!

We have our new 2023 North Greenbush Historical Calendars available for purchase in the Town Clerk’s Office. Stop by Town Hall today for a calendar……. while they last……… 

Historical Calendars MAKE A GREAT HOLIDAY GIFT that last all year long!!!! 

The Town Clerk’s Office hours are every Monday – Friday,  8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

Calendar prices are $12.00 for pickup, or $15.00 to have it mailed directly to your home. We accept cash or check payments payable to: Town of North Greenbush

Town Hall Closes for New Years

Debra L. Curtis, Schodack Town Clerk, wishes to remind residents of Schodack that the Town Hall Offices and Highway Department, will be closed on Monday, January 2, 2023 for the New Years Holiday. The Town Hall offices will resume standard business hours on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

The Schodack Transfer Station will be open on Saturday, December 31, 2022. The Highway Department will be available for any and all emergencies. 

If you have any questions, please contact the Office of the Town Clerk at 518-477-7590, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm.

We are collecting new or homemade scarves, hats, gloves and mittens, along with socks & pajamas to give to those in need this winter. 

Please stop by the North Greenbush Town Hall located @ 2 Douglas Street Wynantskill, New York and place your donations under our Christmas Giving Tree located just outside the doors of the Town Clerk’s Office. The closest entrance for the Town Clerk’s office when dropping off your donation would be the entrance by the Gazebo in our back parking lot. 

Please help us keep someone a little warmer this winter by donating to our Christmas Giving Tree. If you should have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call my office @ 518-283-4306, Monday – Friday, 8-4 and I would be happy to assist you in any way that I can. 

If you would like me to come to you anywhere in our town, just call the office and I can set up a time and day that is convenient to gather your donations.
