Election Day is Tuesday, November 8, 2022. The hours of voting will be 6:00 AM TO 9:00 PM.

The Town of North Greenbush will have 3 Polling locations:

Districts 1,3,4 and 7 will vote atTown Hall located @ 2 Douglas Street Wynantskill,NY

Districts 5 & 8 will vote at St. Michael’s Church located @ 175 Williams Road Troy, NY 

Districts 2 & 6 will vote at Defreestville Fire Department located @ 350 North Greenbush Road Troy, NY

If you should have any questions or concerns pertaining to Election Day, please feel free to contact my office and I will be more than happy to assist you in any way that I can. My office hours are Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. @ 518-283-4306.

The Town of East Greenbush Department of Public Works

Fall Cleanup will begin Monday, October 24th, 2022, and resume for the next 4 Mondays. The leaves must be in biodegradable bags and brush must be tied up into 4 foot bundles, placed out alongside of the roadway, but not in the road.

The dates are as follows:

October 24th, 2022

October 31st, 2022

November 7th, 2022

November 14th, 2022

Please be advised that these are the ONLY dates the Department of Public Works will be performing Fall Cleanup. If you miss these dates, you may bring these items to the Transfer Station, located at 246 Ridge Road, Town of East Greenbush. Residents must provide proof of residency, or a Transfer Station permit, and are allowed to bring these items all year long at no cost.

Please do not place bags of leaves or bundles of brush on the pavement, in front of culverts, or on top of catch basins. Place all items on the edge of the road.

Election News From The LWV of Rensselaer County

Do you know which election district you are in for November 8th elections for Congressional Seats? Rensselaer County no longer is part of District 19 – most of Rensselaer County is now within District 21. The cities of Troy and Rensselaer and parts of North Greenbush are now in District 20. Changes have also been made to the districts for NYS Senate and NYS Assembly? An easy way to find out for sure is to go to Vote411.org. Based on your address/residence, you will be able to see what district you now live and vote in, who the candidates are and information about what each candidate stands for. 

Be Informed Ahead of Election Day! 

Remember that early voting starts on October 29 and continues until November 6 at 3 locations: 

Schodack Town Hall, 265 Schuurman Rd, Castleton

Brunswick Town Hall, 336 Town Office Road, Troy

500 Federal Street, Troy

Hours: Sat/Sun 9 AM – 5 PM

M/W 12 Noon – 8PM

T/Th/F 9 AM – 5 PM

Town of Schodack Tax Office

All school tax bills for Schodack and East Greeenbush Schools are now in the penalty period. Please make sure penalty amount is included with your payment or your payment will be returned as unpaid. Please write your phone number on your check so we can contact you if there are any issues with your payment. All school taxes must be received at my office by 4:00pm October 31st. 

After that, you will need to contact Rensselaer County Bureau of Finance at 518-270-2754. The Tax Office is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 9:00am and 4:00pm during the month of October.
