Gilead Lutheran Church Summer Services

Gilead is holding worship services outside during July and August at 9:30 a.m. Please join us as we continue to be COVID-cautious and having to have fans running to help make it comfortable when the sanctuary is hot.

We have chosen the safer way – to hold services outside. There is plenty of parking. The service can be heard on the car radio on 107.5 FM as you participate in the service surrounded by God’s beautiful pond and the corn field. The geese family has left the pond, but maybe they will return for services. Communion will be offered. Bring a chair if you prefer to sit outside of your vehicle.

Gilead is located in Center Brunswick at the intersection of Route 7 east and 378. Our phone is 518-279-9270 and our web site is”

Gilead’s Body & Soul Pantry

Our hours for this month are still 3-5 PM. Of course, you all know that we will not have a dinner again this month. Many of you have asked when we will be serving meals back in the Fellowship Hall. We constantly keep an eye on the number of infections and if those numbers remain low we hope to serve the September meal indoors.

We are still located in Gilead Lutheran Church’s Fellowship Hall. The church is Route 278 in Center Brunswick.

Support for Parents of Children with Disabilities

BRUNSWICK – Do you have a child with various disabilities or other needs? You are cordially invited to participate in a support group from the comfort of your own home! This is an opportunity to share concerns, insights, and resources to help navigate through both rewarding and challenging times. The host is Connie Vooys, a former special education teacher and mother to a special needs child.

The group meets via zoom on the first and third Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM, and is open to all parents and caregivers without regard to geographic or religious boundaries. If you are interested, please write to and Connie will send you an online link to the group and answer any questions you may have. Sometimes a bit of encouragement makes all the difference!

Cancer Support Group

BRUNSWICK – There are very few of us who have not been affected by cancer, either as a patient, family member, or friend. If you are dealing with the stress of this disease for whatever reason, talking with others in similar circumstances can be very beneficial.

A warm invitation is extended to attend a Zoom cancer support group, led once a month (the third Monday) by retired pastor Ted Wright, he himself a cancer patient. If you have any questions or would like the zoom link, please contact Ted at

This is a ministry in conjunction with Brunswick Church at 42 White Church Lane (just off Rt. 351). Our worship services are Sundays at 9:30 AM and all are welcome. Church participation is not required to have cancer support.
