Church of the Redeemer

August 6, Transfiguration Sunday, service will be at 9 am. Come to learn about this important event in the Christian calendar. Coffee hour follows in the Hearth Room.

Hot Mess Crafters meets on Wednesday at 10 am. We have patterns to make dish/pot scrubbers on a loom. Join us to make this useful kitchen item. Bible Study meets later at 2. All are welcome.

Thrift Shop is open every Thursday from 3-6 and Saturday, August 5, from 9-2. We have just received a supply of Wilton baking pans and supplies. We also have books to show you how to use them to make and decorate a variety of baked goods.

The Church of the Redeemer is an Episcopal church located on at the corner of Third and Catherine Streets. There is handicap parking, a ramp in front, and a parking lot in the rear.

United Methodist Lay Servant Ministry Courses

The Albany District of the Upper New York Conference (United Methodist) will offer two Advanced Lay Servant Ministries Courses. “United Methodist Heritage” will be held on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. – August 7, 14, 21, & 28 via Zoom and September 11 in person at a site to be determined. The course will be lead by Bruce France. A minimum # of participants are needed; please contact Bruce France with your interest and to register ASAP at bfrance@nullnycap.rr.com.

“Justice in Everyday Life: A Look at the Social Principles of the United Methodist Church” will be in person at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at FUMC delmar (428 Kenwood Ave., Delmar, NY) October 4, 11, 18, 25 and November 1. Summer Music Series at Greenbush Reformed Church

Summer Concert Series at the Greenbush Reformed Church, 688 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush, NY 12061.

All concerts will take place in our air-conditioned sanctuary @ 7:00 PM. August 25th-Kaitlyn Fay Jazz Quartet; September 22nd-Justan Foster (Organ Music). Free will offering for future concerts will be taken.

Welcome to Narnia – VBS Program

Our Welcome to Narnia VBS will be held August 7-11 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The program is based on the C.S. Lewis book, “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.” Your child(ren), age Pre-K – 13, will enjoy the adventures in Narnia, a fantasy world of magic, mythical beasts and talking animals, where the lion, Aslan calls upon the children to help fight evil.

Each evening they will experience a story, a craft, a game, a baking activity, singing and a biblical application of the story. Summer Activities at the North Chatham United Methodist Church

The North Chatham United Methodist Church worships every Sunday morning at 9:30 AM, through Labor Day. After that we will return to our regular schedule of Adult Bible Study at 9:45 and worship at 11:00 AM.

All are welcome!

Our Clothing Barn is open from 9:30-12:30 every Saturday morning, through the end of October. The church is located at 4274 Route 203 in the hamlet of North Chatham.
