The Great UHLS Spell-Off is Coming!

If you love words, the Sand Lake Town Library Friends has a challenge for you! The Great Upper Hudson Library System Spell-Off is happening at the end of April and we’re buzzing with excitement about hosting a preliminary spelling bee here in our community.

We’re still working on when and where it’ll happen, but we wanted everyone to start thinking about participating. Two-person teams will compete in both a written and an oral portion of the bee. Spelling words will be selected with adults in mind.

High schoolers may form teams. Children 10-13 can be on a team with an adult 18+. Children under age 10 may attend, but cannot participate. The SLTL winning team will be eligible to compete against winners from other libraries in the The Great UHLS Spell-Off at the Colonie Town Library on Saturday 4/30 at 2:30pm. More d-e-t-a-i-l-s to come! Email sltlfriends@nullgmail.com with questions.
