Lenten & Easter Service Schedule 2022

Evangelical Lutheran Church of Poestenkill

Welcome to the Christian season of Lent, the forty-day period of self-reflection and review of ourselves in our thoughts, words and deeds.  Perhaps we can think of some things we could have done better or at least found more loving ways and remember what Jesus taught us.

It is a time of repentance and seeking forgiveness, to move forward in a kinder, more gentle way of living our lives and renewing our relationship with God.  When we are kind and non-judgmental, we almost always feel better about ourselves.

You are most welcome to come to our Lenten and Easter services in the coming weeks.  Here are our service times and places.  Please consider attending any or all of the services at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Poestenkill, 772 Route 351, Poestenkill, NY 12140.  Sunday, April 10, 2022 – Palm Sunday – 9 a.m.; Friday, April 15, 2022 – Good Friday – 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 17, 2022 – Easter Sunday – 9 a.m.   Our regular worship time is 9 a.m. every Sunday.

**Please note our Maundy Thursday service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 50 Leversee Road, Troy, NY 12182.   **Thursday, April 14, 2022 – Maundy Thursday – 7 p.m.

This is an opportunity to share concerns, insights, and resources to help navigate through both rewarding and challenging times. The host is Connie Vooys, a former special education teacher and mother to a special needs child.

The group meets via zoom on the first and third Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM, and is open to all parents and caregivers without regard to geographic or religious boundaries.
