Sand Lake Seniors Club 2021
SAND LAKE – The SLSC meet on the second Thursday of each month at noon at the Averill Park/ Sand Lake Firehouse. At our November 11th meeting, the new officers for 2022 will be sworn into office. We are planning a Pot Luck lunch that day that everyone participates in followed by Bingo. The SLSC will be providing dessert and beverages. Brian Sheldon from the Sand Lake Center for the Arts will give a brief presentation on the Center and it’s roll in the community.

CROPSEYVILLE – Rensselaer County’s Everett Wagar Senior Center, 2 Roxborough Rd, Cropseyville, will be open with limited hours. State and County Guidelines will be posted and must be followed at all times. The center is now open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 3:00 with congregate lunch and activities. Van transportation to and from the center will be available on limited days. Please call to be placed on the list.
On Tuesday, Nov 9th Rachel will be at the center for Haircuts and Mani/pedi’s by appointment only. Also on the 9th Lunch will be Lemon Garlic Cod, rice and vegetable, followed with a fun game of Senior Feud and Ice Cream Sundaes. The Senior Center will be closed Thursday, Nov 11th for Veterans Day.
The center is open Monday and Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 am for Chair Yoga. All are welcome to attend the classes. This is a low impact exercise that all can do.

Donny ‘Elvis’ to visit Hoosick Falls Senior Center
HOOSICK FALLS – The Hoosick Falls Senior Center, 69 Church Street, will hold a special event at the center on Friday, Nov 19th. We have invited Donny ‘ELVIS’ to come and share some of his favorite songs with us. All county residents 60 and over are invited to come take this walk down memory lane. We ask that all attend lunch at a suggested donation of $3. State and County Guidelines will be posted and must be followed at all times for the safety of our seniors. BRUNSWICK – On Monday, December 6, 2021 at noon we will have our “Christmas Picnic” catered by Mary Jo, owner of Frear Park Pub – plus entertainment by Donnie “Elvis” Romaine personally singing all Elvis Presley songs of the 50’s, for members to sing and dance along with for fun and happy memories. Good News, Grab and Go Lunch is Available Five Days a Week
RENSSELAER – The Rensselaer County Rensselaer Senior Center are offering nutritious meals Monday through Friday. Pickup is at 11:30. Please call the day before to order your lunch and enjoy a hot homemade meal 5 times a week. Must be 60 years old to participate in this great program. Suggested contribution is $3 per meal. POESTENKILL – Our weekly meetings are held every Tuesday at 1:00 in the afternoon at the Sullivan Jones Post in Poestenkill. All seniors are welcome. We have catered lunches, pizza, clam steams, fish fries and luncheons that are held at various restaurants and best of all bus trips to casinos, theaters and points of interest.
Informational talks on senior safety and health are given from time to time. Dues are $15.00 a year. Coffee and refreshments are served after the meeting followed by Bingo and cards. Come join the fun and a afternoon out. The hall is handicapped accessible with sufficient parking. Hope to see you there.
