East Greenbush Fire Company Pizza Night

The East Greenbush Fire Company will be hosting their annual Pizza Night at the fire station located at 68 Phillips Road Saturday, September 17,2022. 

The pizza’s will have chicken wings,mozzarella sticks and a salad. The pizza has pepperoni,sausage,onions,peppers,and olives. Come out and enjoy a delicious pie and wings at the fire station, Saturday September 17 .

Chicken BBQ at Center Brunswick Fire Company

The Volunteer Fire Company of Center Brunswick, Inc. is hosting a Chicken BBQ on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 4:00pm–6:00pm. Dinner includes half chicken, macaroni salad, corn on the cob, roll and a drink. Cost is $15.00/dinner.

Schodack Valley Fire Co. Pizza & Wings Night is back.

After the summer off, our members are excited to invite our friends and neighbors to join us Saturday, September 17th for our monthly Pizza Night. This is a great way to enjoy delicious food that’s priced right. The hours are 4 to 7 pm. We offer eat in or take out .Please call 518-477-4215 for take out orders.We offer a large variety of pizza toppings, jumbo wings with lots of yummy sauces, freshly handmade salads and amazing antipastos. You won’t want to miss our crispy mozzarella sticks either. We offer a wide variety of adult and non alcoholic beverages also. This month’s pie of the month is Chicken Parm. This fundraiser is held at our fire station located at 1553 Schodack Valley Rd. Castleton NY. Can’t wait to see on the 17th.

Roast Beef Supper at Pittstown Methodist Church Hall

Roast Beef Supper on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Pittstown United Methodist Church hall (located in the village of Pittstown on NY Route 7) from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Eat in or Take out. Menu: roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, cole slaw, rolls, homemade pies, beverages. Price: adults $17.00, children 5-12 $7.00, under 5 free. For reservations call Bev at 518-663-5607.

Fall 2022 Chicken Bar-B-Q

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Poestenkill, 772 Route 351, Poestenkill, NY 12140 will hold our Fall 2022 Chicken Bar-B-Q on Saturday, October 1st at the church with a Drive-Thru, Take-Out Only dinner.

The meal consists of: 1/2 chicken, baked potato, green beans, Cole slaw, cranberry sauce, roll and choice of homemade Apple or Pumpkin pie for dessert for a donation of $15 per meal.

Pick-up time begins at 4:30 pm and ends at 6 pm. We strongly encourage you to pre-order your meals early by calling (518) 283-1447. Reservations are suggested as our last dinner sold out. Thank you for your support.

Averill Park Fire Department Breakfast Sandwich Fundraiser

Let the fire company prepare made-to-order breakfast sandwiches for you and the family.  Please support our Breakfast Sandwich Fundraiser being held Sunday, September 24,, 2022 from 8:00 am until 11:00 am at the Averill Park Fire Station located at 35 Eastern Union Turnpike.  

Drive up and order your choice of ham, bacon or sausage on this 2-egg delicious sandwich prepared on Bella Napoli hard rolls, served with a hash brown for just $6 each!! In addition, fresh Bella Napoli donuts will also be available for you to purchase.

We really appreciate your support and invite you to stop in and see what we do.  This is a very rewarding activity for someone who would like to volunteer to help others in their community as both firematic and non-firematic members.  We would love to talk to you more about the opportunity.

Latham Colonie K of C Pig Roast

On Sunday, September 18th, 2022, The Latham-Colonie Knights of Columbus will host a Pig Roast at Latham-Colonie Knights of Columbus Council, 328 Troy-Schenectady Road, Latham,N.Y.,12110

Troy’s Armenian Festival

Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church is having their annual Armenian Festival at 255 Spring Avenue, Troy, on Saturday, September 17 from 12pm to 7pm and on Sunday, September 18 from 12pm to 4pm. Delicious shish kebob dinners will be available for eat-in or take-out. 

A variety of Armenian pastries will also be offered. Orders for Lahmajune (Armenian meat pie) can be placed by calling the church at 518-274-1477. 

Come and enjoy delicious Armenian cuisine and live Armenian music and folk dancing plus children’s activities.

Glendora Vegeterian Club

Google reports that “KFC serves up plant based fried chicken at all US locations.”

Glendora likes mashed potatoes in a big bowl with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, a dash of salt and pepper, mixed with green peas and Better Than Prime cut into 1 inch cubes. Being from the state of Maine, she proselytizes that the whole world should eat vegetarian baked beans every Saturday night. Add brown bread with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, Morning Star Farms hotdogs and coleslaw with crushed pineapple.

PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)reports that a new vegan meat brand is making burgers, sausage crumbles and meatballs from bean protein, quinoa and nutrient rich artichokes.
