The elderly father of a friend of mine was walking into a grocery store with his wife. Suddenly he lost sight in one of his eyes. The doctor diagnosed that the vision loss was caused by plaque build up in his carotid artery and that the damage was permanent. (What is plaque? It is chicken fat or other animal fat.) Two weeks later this man had an operation to pull the plaque out of his artery. Folks, don’t let this happen to you. Abstain from all animal products and their plaque – I.e., cholesterol.
Help Glendora get the message out: When all is said and done, the only thing that really matters is how you treat others. “Others” includes the animals. Go vegan – no animal products!
Jokes: 1. This donut is so hard it could walk over and say hello to the coffee, but the coffee is too weak to answer.
2. An older brother was trying to teach his younger sister subtraction. He said, “If you had 6 pieces of candy and I asked you for 2, how many would you have left?” She stared him straight in the eye and said, “6!”

Reformed Dutch Church of Schodack at Muitzeskill Annual Chicken Barbeque
SCHODACK LANDING – The Reformed Dutch Church of Schodack at Muitzeskill is pleased to announce that we will be having our annual chicken barbeque on Saturday, August 8th!
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, we will not be having the mini-market.
This year, the meal will be take out only, (no eating on the premises). from 4PM to 6 PM. The meal will include chicken, potato salad, corn, cabbage salad, and watermelon. Adults: $14.00, children 6-12: $7. Reserve your meal by calling 732-7345. If no answer, leave a message including name, number and that you are calling regarding the bbq. You will be called back.
The church is located at the intersection of Schodack Landing Road & Muitzeskill Road, in Schodack Landing. Please wear masks during pick-up and maintain social distancing.
Chicken BBQ at Center Brunswick Fire Company
TROY – The Volunteer Fire Company of Center Brunswick, Inc. is hosting a Chicken BBQ on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. Dinner includes half chicken, baked potato, corn on the cob, roll/butter and cookie. Cost is $13.00/dinner. Curbside pickup only.
