Glendora Vegetarian Club
Making the transition to vegetarian eating is a relatively easy task for some. They simply make the decision, adapt, and never look back. Others must take a more incremental approach. Vegetarian Starter Guide has some tips for for those who must make the change gradually.
In the beginning, set aside three days during each of two weeks. On those days substitute ingredients in your favorite meals to make them animal free. For example meatless crumbles (textured vegetable protein) can take the place of ground beef in your tacos. Meatless marinara sauce can be jazzed up with garlic, mushrooms and peppers so that you won’t even miss the meat. After two weeks try to extend your “compassionate eating” to five times a week for another two week period. In the meantime search online for tasty vegetarian and vegan recipes. Here are a few sites for starters: VeganCooking.com, VeganChef.com, VegRecipes.org, and VRG.org.
