Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser
Van Rensselaer Lodge #87 will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Nov. 17th from 5 to 7 PM. The Lodge is located at 710 Columbia Turnpike in East Greenbush. Castleton Roast Pork Dinner
The Emmanuel Reformed Church in Castleton is once again having its Roast Pork Dinner on November 17th, with servings at 4:30 & 6:00 pm. The menu will include pork loin, butternut squash, green beans, potatoes, apple sauce, dessert and coffee or tea all for only $13 per adult, $5 children 6-12 and free for children under 6. VFW Auxiliary Thanksgiving Pie Order
The VFW Auxiliary to Sullivan Jones Post 7466 is hosting our annual, “LET THE AUXILIARY BAKE YOUR THANKSGIVING PIES FOR YOU”, event!
Make your to do list shorter by ordering your 9” pies:
Apple, Cherry, Blueberry and Pumpkin at $13.95 each and let us do the work for you! To order, call Nancy at 518-283-6197, or pick up an order form at the Post Canteen and you can also email to request a form at vfwpost7466@nullhughes.net.
The deadline for orders is November 15th. Pies will be ready for pickup on November 21st, downstairs in the bar 12:00-6:00. Proceeds are used for our annual VA Hospital Adopt-a-Military Family Program.
Roast Beef Dinner
Please join us at The American Legion Post 1489, 111 Main Ave. Wynantskill, on Sunday, Nov. 18th. We will be hosting our second annual Roast Beef Dinner to benefit Wreaths Across America. All proceeds will be used to purchase and place Wreaths on veteran graves at Saratoga National Cemetery.
Dinner will be served 2-6pm, eat-in or take-out, and includes: Roast Beef/Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Green beans, Roll, Cake, Water and Coffee. A cash bar will be available. Price: $10.00 in advance (tickets available @ The Legion) and $12.00 at the door. Presales are suggested as walk-ins not guaranteed.

Gilead’s Body & Soul Pantry
November 29, 2018. We continue with our winter pantry hours of 3-6pm, and welcome all. We have just started our season but thought we would give our usual chefs a month off. This month we have guest chefs Donna and Bill. (You may remember their great chicken parmigiana from this past spring.) This time they will be preparing Ziti and Meatballs. There will also be a tossed salad and Italian bread. For dessert, we will be serving chocolate or vanilla pudding.
Our Fellowship Hall welcomes all individuals. We are located at the intersection of Routes 7 & 278 in Center Brunswick. If you are not good with stairs, we do have an elevator which makes it an easy access to our Pantry Items and the Dinner.
Thanksgiving Dinner
The Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church will host a family-style, sit-down dinner on Thanksgiving Day, November 22nd. Dinner will be served at 2PM in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
If you do not want to cook, if you have no one to cook for, or if you just want some company and homemade pie, then please come to the Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church for Thanksgiving Dinner. Hoags Corners Ambulance Pizza Night
The Hoags Corners Volunteer Ambulance will be having Pizza Night on November 16th from 5pm-8pm. Toppings include pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, peppers, onions and black olives. The Brunswick Elks Lodge #2556 will be hosting The James Busher Memorial Veterans Appreciation Lunch on November 17, from 12 noon to 2pm. This is free to all veterans and their family members. Free Thanksgiving Day Dinner
The First Bible Baptist Church of West Sand Lake invites you

The Tsatsawassa Protective Fire Company will serve their monthly breakfast on Sunday, November 18th, from 8AM until 11:30AM. Free Spaghetti Dinner

Visit with Santa at East Schodack Fire Company’s Pizza Nite
All kids (young and old) are invited to visit with Santa Claus at the East Schodack Fire House on December 1st. Santa will arrive by special sleigh at 4:30. Come and take a picture when your kids visit one-to-one with Santa.
