Glendora Vegetarian Club

Join the throng who are delighting in the vegan hamburger introduced by Burger King, the Impossible Whopper. We are so pleased that it is so popular. It is so popular that the competition has started bad rumors. Do not be deceived. The same people started bad rumors about soy and wheat. Hold the line! The Glendora Vegetarian Club meets the last Wednesday of every month at 6 p.m. On November 27th meet us at Burger King in Hudson.

Remember the ease and comfort of eating vegan at Berben & Wolff in Albany or Troy. Try their Reuben, Po’ Boy, Breakfast Sandwich, or 7 other selections.

On Thanksgiving Day Red Robin Song Guest House, located at 94 School House Rd. in NewLebanon, NY, will be having an elegant potluck dinner. Check the website for details.

Thought for the day from the Vegetarian Starter Guide: “Increasingly, the environment has become a dumping ground for toxins, chemicals and widespread pollution. The water we drink is so contaminated many are afraid to drink unbottled water. The air we breathe is tainted with ammonia, methane and carbon monoxide. Raising animals for food is one of the leading causes of pollution and resource depletion today. Vegetarian eating helps protect the natural environment.”

Jokes:

1. A man said that there was nothing he wouldn’t do for his brother and there was nothing his brother wouldn’t do for him. So they went through life doing nothing for each other.

2. A woman said if she ever had to have a heart transplant she wanted the heart of her boss. It has never been used.

3. The clerk says the judge’s mind is beginning to wander. The secretary says that it’s too weak to go very far.
