Glendora Vegetarian Club

Whoopee for the Whopper! Burger King has a new vegan hamburger called The Impossible Whopper. Our club is exuberant. We buy many of them. The good deed has been long in coming. We intend to promote and promulgate until maybe one day Burger King will be 100% purely vegan. Our most recent meeting was held at Burger King in Menands on Wednesday, October 30th, the eve before All Hallows Eve.

Are you thinking of becoming a vegan? One great resource that might help you in making your decision Is Eat Vegan with Me by Mary Lawrence. In her book she explains how she has used her expertise “to help hundreds of people lead healthy, happy lives or recover from a wide variety of health problems by transitioning to a vegan lifestyle.” Another resource is the website vrg.org. On its main page, you will find answers to many of your questions.

We continue to urge veganism at high cost on the 6:30 p.m. news on Channel 6, CBS, Monday through Friday the first and third weeks of every month.

October is National Vegetarian Month. Last year the National Vegetarian Society offered prizes of $100 for a Vegan Day, $500 for a Vegan Week and $1000 for a Vegan Month. Glendora still cannot find out who the winners were.
