The monthly all you can eat breakfast at the Poestenkill Christian Church, 721 Snyder’s Corners Road, Poestenkill, NY will be held on December 7 from 8 to 11 AM Cost is $8 for adults and $3.50 for children under 10. Menu includes eggs, French toast, pancakes, home fries, sausage, bacon, coffee, tea, and juice.

Christmas Bazaar at Church of the Covenant UM

The Church of the Covenant UM in Averill Park will host its annual Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 7. Come visit the more than a dozen handcraft, gift and food shops designed for all your holiday shopping. You will find plenty of holiday-themed items as well as year-round gifts and decor. On the main level, visit The Doll Boutique with handmade American Girl clothing, the Pet Corner, Collectibles, the Country Store, Handcrafts & Decorations, Holiday Greenery and Religious Items. Be sure to stop by the COC Cafe, specializing in chili, mac and cheese, sausage and peppers, assorted soups and other home-cooked foods. Satisfy your sweet tooth with goodies from the Sweet Shoppe. Downstairs will be “Yuletide for Youth.” There children may decorate cookies, shop in the Kids Only store, play games and make crafts. The Church of the Covenant, also known as “The Round Church,” is at 3055 NY 43 in the center of Averill Park.

Annual Christmas Bazaar

The Reformed Dutch Church of Schodack at Muitzeskill will be holding its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, December 7th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Church is located at the intersection of Schodack Landing Road & Muitzeskill Road, in Schodack Landing. The Christmas Bazaar will include new and gently used Christmas decorations, cards, gifts, and books, as well as a Luncheon Cafe and a Bake Sale. Carols for a Cause

On Sunday, December 8, 3:00 PM, Greenbush Reformed Church welcomes all to join a holiday lessons & carols service to benefit CoNSERNS-U. The service will include readings, carols, anthems, and instrumental pieces. The Route Fifty 5 Brass Quintet will be part of the service, in addition to choir members from neighboring Reformed Churches. Financial and non-perishable food donations are welcome. North Chatham United Methodist Church To Host Holiday Bazaar

On December 7th The North Chatham United Methodist Church will host a Holiday Bazaar from 10 AM to 3 PM, sponsored by the United Methodist Women of the North Chatham and Grace (Nassau) churches. The church is located at 4274 Route 203 in the hamlet of North Chatham. There will be a nice variety of vendors and this is a great chance to do some Christmas shopping locally! Lunch and a bake sale will be available and all proceeds will go to Mission Projects. KofC Breakfast with Santa December 15th

Join us for the monthly St Jude the Apostle K of C “All You Can Eat” Pancake breakfast on Sunday, December 15th from 8am -11am in Damman Hall and have “Breakfast with Santa”!

Breakfast includes “All You Can Eat” pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, juice, fruit, bagels, cereal, pastry, coffee, and more. Kids 5 and under are FREE, adults $8, kids under 12 $4. Bring your camera to get a picture with Santa!

Hopes Kitchen December Free Community Meal

Thursday December 12th, will mark the date of the December Free Community Meal. This months meal will include, Delicious Roast Pork, Hot German Potato Salad, Green Beans, Applesauce, Tossed Salad, Rolls and Butter, Applecrips, Coffee, Hot or Iced Tea and Lemonade. Dinner is served from 3:30 to 6:30 the second Thursday of every month.

Hopes Kitchen extends a welcome to everyone, singles, families, homeless, teens, and seniors or if you just want a good home cooked meal and some conversation. This is not a church membership recruitment plan, it is a ministry to feed those that are hungry.

Hopes Kitchen is a ecumenical ministry between Hope Lutheran Church in North Greenbush, and the Rensselaer Presbyterian Church at 34 Broadway, Rensselaer, Now in our 10th month attendance keeps expanding, but we are always looking for more diners. We can seat up to 100 people at one time. Mark your calendar now for this enjoyable evening, piano offerings by Chris between 4 and 5 add a special touch.

Sunday services are at 8:00 and 9:30 with coffee hour in the Hearth Room between and after services.

Our Wednesday Hot Mess Crafters meets at 10:00. If you are interested in learning knitting, crocheting, or other needle craft, join us. We have yarns of all colors and weights plus patterns to get you started. It is not too late to make a gift for family, friend, or shelter.

On Wednesday evening at Bible Study, we begin the next session of the Ray Vander Laan series. We will travel to Timnah as the Israelites turn their backs on God. Come at 5:30 to share pizza and salad. Bible Study begins at 6:00

December Mindful Nature Walk

Sunday, December 15, 9 am – 12 pm — Poestenkill Community Forest, 200 Legenbauer Rd, Averill Park (in East Poestenkill)

We will combine forest bathing, walking, and present-centered awareness to relieve stress and get inspired. Just as squirrels gather and store nuts for winter food, we can cultivate our own warmth and sustenance through our connection to land and each other. Gilead Lutheran Church Welcomes You

Gilead Lutheran Church is a welcome, faith-filled home for you. Located at 308 Brick Church Rd (Rte. 278) in Center Brunswick we carry on the tradition of serving the community that started in 1742. Each Sunday God’s message is celebrated at our 10:30 am, traditional-styled worship service. Sunday School meets on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 9:30 am. Gilead Lutheran provides a free community dinner and food pantry the 3rd Thursday of the month. The next dinner is on December 19th, 3 to 6 pm. Center Brunswick United Methodist Church Announces Financial Scholarship for 2020

The Finance Committee of the Center Brunswick United Methodist Church has announced that it will award $500 to a student to be selected from the Tamarac High School Class of 2020. The money may be used for any type of expenses related to further education. Students do not have to belong to this Church, any other church or religion to be eligible for this award.

Interested students must apply for this award no later than March 1, 2020. The application can be obtained from the school’s guidance department or from our website at (www.CenterBrunswickUMC.company).

This award is given in memory of Harold and Mabel Keyes through a trust funded by their last will and testament. Mabel taught in the Brunswick schools and continued teaching Sunday School at Center Brunswick UMC for many years after she retired. Through this award, her love of helping young people learn and grow will continue to reach the youth of our community.

The Center Brunswick Methodist Church is located at the intersection of Routes 7 and 142 in Troy.
