Troy Alley Rally Mega Garage Sale

Five alleys in Troy south of Congress St. will come alive on Saturday, August 24 (rain date August 25) from 10 to 2 for the 3rd annual Alley Rally. This is when residents put on a mega, multi-family garage sale. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful neighborhoods around Washington Park while taking an easy stroll along the alleys in search of treasures. With 40 families involved, people are bound to find something to take home – an antique folding bike perhaps or maybe a huge movie banner. Setting up house? There will be housewares, furniture and decorative items. Looking for something fun? There’s sure to be antiques, curiosities, jewelry, records, CDs and much more. Visitors should look for bright orange directional signs along Congress and Ferry Streets and throughout the rally area which extends south down to Jefferson St. and stretches east-west between 1st and 5th Sts. Maps will be available: at the sale sites, at an information desk in “Leslie’s Garden” on Adams St. (between 2nd and 3rd Sts. Next to School 10 Apartments) and on Craig’s List (Look for “Alley Rally”). Friends of the Troy Public Library will also be holding a popup book sale at “Leslie’s Garden”. There are various parking lots in the area, plus on-street parking. For more information, email riverside12180@nullgmail.com.
