The Sand Lake Kiwanis Pasta Dinners Have Been Discontinued

With regret the Sand Lake Kiwanis Club has decided to discontinue the Monthly Pasta Dinner held on the second Saturday of each month at the West Sand Lake Fire House. We want to thank all who have participated and supported this event throughout the years. Kiwanis is still very active and and involved throughout the community. We look forward to seeing all of you at our many future events and projects, such as the Kiwanis Summerfest – a three day event held in Butler Park. This year’s Summerfest is scheduled for June 16, 17 & 18. So we hope to see you there!

The Sand Lake Kiwanis Club is a very active community organization dedicated to raising funds that are used for local projects that directly support our youth and area children. Our Motto is: Serving the Children of the World.

Glendora Vegan Club

Hi folks, How are you?

My name is Glendora and I am 95 years old and I have been doing public access television for 53 years. We are currently on program #14,230. The Glendora Public Access Television Network is on 500 municipalities across the country, and 72 TV stations: Boston, Quincy, Springfield, Pittsfield, Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago, Portland Oregon, San Francisco, San Jose, San Diego, San Antonio Texas, Los Alamos New Mexico, 14 more TV stations in Connecticut.  Montgomery County, Maryland.  And the most important of all, Washington DC, DCTV

Jokes:

-A famous author was asked.  What do you consider your greatest work of fiction?

He said, My income tax form.

-Harry said to his mother, I don’t want to go to school today;  the kids don’t like me, the teachers don’t like me, even the custodians have it in for me… His mother said, you are going to school today, you have much to learn, you have much to offer, and besides you are 45 years old and the principal.

-Computers are in the Bible.  Eve said to Adam, Do you want an Apple Two?

-A little old man and a little old woman were summoned to court because she stole a can of peaches.  The judge said, how many peaches were in the can?  She said, 6.  The judge said you are hereby sentenced to 6 days in jail, one day for each peach.  The little old man said, Can I say sometin? The judge said, be brief… The little old man said, She also stole a can of peas.

In 1995 Cablevision did not like Glendora telling the truth about the supervisor of Nassau County Long Island, and took her program off of the TV.  On the same day that she made her protest, Glendora sued Pro-Se.  The court decision was Plaintiff has a statutory right to be on TV and must be returned to TV.  Public Access TV and sidewalk soapbox are the only free speech left.  Congress, in the cable act of 1984 called us…” An Electronic Soapbox”.  Sidewalk free speech receives and deserves the utmost protection.  Nobody took Glendora off the TV thereafter.

This body is going to be recycled soon, but the spirit is here, prompting you to perpetuate Public Access TV.  Take care of public access TV. It’s in your hands, take care of it!

And there are 2 more things… never lie, steal, or cheat.  And go VEGAN.

Grace and peace from God the Father.  Amen.
