Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:00 PM- Congregate Meals. Yoga- Monday and Friday at 10:00- 11:00 AM AND Wednesday on June 14th.

Lebanon Senior Citizens

Lebanon Valley Seniors meet at 1pm on the 1st and 3rd Fridays at the New Lebanon firehouse. New members are always welcome .

You do not need to be a resident of New Lebanon  to join. Membership  is just $10 a year. Some recent events we had was a Mexican pot luck for Cinco de Mayo. A  bake sale that  will benefit our backpack program, veterans project, community Christmas angels. Upcoming events are a BQ, Lakeview lunch,  show at Machayden theater with lunch at the Whitestone Restraunt for the show ,  fall CT train ride and lunch, Oktoberfest luncheon. Lebanon Senior Citizens

If you are 55 or over and live in New Lebanon, you can come on the Lebanon Senior Citizens bus trips. We have 2 trips on the calendar for this year. If you decide to join us on a bus trip you will need to fill out a emergency contact form. We need to fill the buses so come and join the fun.

June: 19-20 Niagara Falls

One night. We will stay at Seneca casino. Price for Niagara Falls is $160 for double occupancy. $35 free slot play. $15 food credit. We will do Maid of the Mist boat ride.

Sept: 21st Silver Birches Resort 

$49 fall train ride, entertainment with great lunch. This is in Honesdale PA. This is the same place that we went to for the Christmas Show last year. They also do train rides for the foliage.

Call Mary Defreest if interested 518-733-0009. You have to be a member to enjoy all our other activities. It is only 10.00 a year and you get to do all the luncheons, covered dishes and we are doing road trips where you carpool to them.

Rensselaer County Troy Senior Center is Hosting a Luncheon Cruise on the Captain JP cruiseline

The Senior Center is hosting a luncheon cruise on the Captain JP.  July 20th, boarding time is 11:30, $42/pp includes roast beef, roasted chicken, vegetarian lasagna, vegetables, salad, rolls and dessert! 

We will have a DJ for entertainment, the cruise is a 3 hour cruise! Call 518-270-5348 for information and reservations!

Sand Lake Senior Club

The Sand Lake Seniors have put together a 3 days/2nights trip to Niagara Falls, Canadian side for Oct 16th through the 18th. 

A valid ENHANCED Driver’s License or a current PASSPORT is required. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Fallsview which is across the street from the Fallsview Casino (Bonus $35/pp). 

Two breakfasts and 2 dinners are included one of which is at the Skylon Tower. Enjoy the 20 minute Hornblower Cruise of the Falls! There is a guided full day tour of historic Niagara on the Lake where you can lunch on your own followed by a wine tasting at a local vineyard. A ride on the Skywheel prior to departure for home as well as a Duty Free stop at the border.

Musicians Wanted

Van Rensselaer Heights is hosting a “mini-Woodstock” for residents and we are looking for bands to volunteer to complete our line up. 

The tentative date is August 16th from 10 AM to 5 PM. This will be an awesome opportunity to practice your preforming skills and provide some joy to the residents.

Lunch With Our Mayor

Join The Rensselaer County Senior Center on the first Tuesday of every month to have lunch with our Mayor. 

Mike Stammel is a servant of the people and on this day he may be litterly serving you lunch and inform you of what’s happening in the City of Rensselaer and County. This is a great opportunity for a round table discussion on issues that could be of interest to you. Call to make a reservation (518) 463-2166. 

Cleaning Your Closets ?

Rensselaer County Rensselaer Senior Center is in need of quality gently used spring, summer clothes for our corner boutique. 

Drop off is 9am to 2pm, please call when you get here. If you need a receipt of donation leave your name and address. We greatly appreciate your generous donations. All proceeds go to senior programs and help our seniors. For more info or to make a donation please call 518-463-2166.

Do You Depend on Depends?

Are you an active senior with an active bladder! Do you always have the urge to go? On a strong water pill? Special underwear can be very costly. We have an assortment of sizes for men and women. 

Call and ask for Gloria at The Rensselaer County Senior Center. We would like to help at no cost to you. Call the Rensselaer Senior Center (518) 463-2166 9am to 3pm Monday thru Friday.  We are located on East and Herrick Streets.
