The new American Vegan magazine is on the internet. We are opening a new American Vegan Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Come and see our new foods, recipes, progress in the city of the Declaration of Indepdence (independence from animal cruelty) and the Liberty Bell (liberty from agony).
As a non profit organization since 1960, the AVS mission has been to inspire and encourage people to stop using animals for food, clothing and other reasons. This challenge has been made easier with practical guidance through our magazine and website and at meetings, conventions and festivals.

Kiwanis Pasta Dinner Fundraiser “Take-Out” (Only)
SAND LAKE – The Sand Lake Kiwanis Club wants to invite all to participate in the next Pasta Dinner fundraiser on Saturday, October 9th from 4pm to 7pm at the Sand Lake Veterans Hall on Rt. 43. Cost: $10 for adults, $5 for Kids (10yrs. & Younger), or $25 Special for a Family of 4. Meals will consist of pasta, meatballs, salad, bread, & dessert. All Meals are Drive-Up/Take-Out. Pre Orders may be made starting at 2 PM (on the day of the event) by calling (518) 421-1339. Pasta Dinners will continue to be held every second Saturday of each month. All proceeds support Kiwanis community projects.

AVERILL PARK – The Knights of Columbus at St. Henry’s Church on Old Route 66 in Averill Park will be holding a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, October 16th. This will be a DRIVE- THROUGH- TAKE -OUT ONLY.
We will be serving spaghetti, meatballs, salad, and bread. The price of the dinner is $8.00 for adults, $3 for children under 12, or $15 per family (2 adults with children).
Pick-up time begins at 4:30 pm through 6:00 pm. We would greatly appreciate early pre-orders between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm the day of the dinner by calling or texting (518) 322-9583. The Reformed Dutch Church of Schodack at Muitzeskill Annual Turkey Dinner
SCHODACK – The Reformed Dutch Church of Schodack at Muitzeskill will be holding a Take-Out Only version of its Annual Turkey Dinner .
The dinner will be held on Saturday, October 23rd, with three pick up times being offered starting at 4 pm, 4:45pm and 5:30pm. The cost is $15 for adults and $7 for children, ages 12 and under. The dinner will include turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, squash, green beans, cranberry sauce, a roll and a piece of pie, for dessert.
