Gilead’s Body & Soul Pantry

Thursday, April 25th

Pantry and Dinner Hours 3:00-6:00 PM

April will be the end of our dinners until September. This time off from the kitchen allows many of us to have a change of pace doing planting and lawn mowing. We also need time to look for new recipes and update our current ones.

Now to the question you all are asking, “What is for dinner?” This month we are having chicken and biscuit, carrots, and a tossed salad.

It looks like those people who could not use the stairs are now going to able to visit us again. We have been told that our elevator should be operable by Easter. Please call us to verify that fact, 518-279-9720. Gilead is located at the intersection of Routes 7 & 278 in Brunswick.

Glendora Vegetarian Club

Grilled and layered eggplant, portabella, zucchini and yellow squash with roasted tomato sauce and balsamic drizzle… That’s flavor, satisfaction, nutrition and health. National magazine of the American Vegan Society extolled the Glendora Vegetarian Club for its vegan commercials on the 6:30pm television news.

In the school cafeteria next to a bowl of apples, there was a sign, “Take one; God is watching.”  At the other end of the counter was a platter of cookies. A little girl said to her friend, “Take two; God is watching the apples.”

Filmmaker Thomas Jackson has completed a documentary on the relationship between spirituality, veganism, along with religion. Jackson concluded that the underlying element of all these was compassion. Burger King now has a vegan whopper, this is a triumph of all of us vegans over the decades.

“You remind me of Dan Smith.” “I am not a thing like Dan Smith.” “Oh, yes you are; you both owe me $10.”  Glendora thanks The Advertiser for its copious help the past 6 years.  Announcing the 6:00pm meetings the last Wednesday of every month. Bring a vegan dish and begin to feel good about how you eat.
