On Sunday, March 3, services are at 8:00 and 9:30, followed by coffee hour in the Hearth Room.
Join us at Salisbury Place on Washington Ave., on Tuesday, March 5, at 6:00 pm for our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. Supper is on your own, and eating pancakes is optional.
The sign-up sheet is at the back of the Church so Salisbury’s can plan for us.
We begin our Lenten observation with Ash Wednesday service at 6:00 pm on March 6.
CRAFTING is scheduled for Wednesday at 10:00.

Gilead Lutheran Church
Please join us at Gilead Lutheran Church as we continue in our 277th year serving the community of Brunswick and surrounding communities with worship and outreach. Gilead is located on 308 Brick Church Road (Intersection of Route 278 and Route 7) in Center Brunswick. We invite you to join us as we continue our missions inside and outside the community and within our congregation. We provide God’s message, in a traditional liturgical setting, each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Gilead provides a free community dinner and food pantry the last Thursday of the month, Story Dinners every other month with free-will donations going to local charities and other outreach programs during the year. We welcome you to know us in both settings and renew and refresh your heart and soul for the week. Our next outreach is the community dinner and pantry, Thursday, February 28, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Unfortunately, our elevator is currently out of service, but we are working on its renewal. New Priest Appointed at Church of the Holy Name, Boyntonville
The Episcopal Church of the Holy Name, located at 33 Simmons Road (on County Route 109) in Boyntonville, just off US Rt. 7, is pleased to announce the arrival of their full-time priest, Fr. James Brisbin.
After 30 years of service, our previous priest, Fr. Nelson Lundberg became ill and suddenly passed away 12/2/2016.
Fr. James conducts Sunday communion services at 9:00 A.M. followed by a coffee hour. An Ash Wednesday service will also be held this year on March 6, 2019 at 5:30 PM in addition to a Good Friday service on March 19, 2019 at 5:30.
Hope Lutheran Sewer Makes Little Dresses for Africa
Janet Malmstrom, parishioner at Hope Lutheran Church, North Greenbush, has completed another 50 dresses made for the Little Dresses for Africa program. Her work was blessed at a recent Sunday service at Hope and the Parish Nurse has now sent them off to the nonprofit, based in Michigan. Janet has spearheaded this sewing project for years, since coming to Hope from St. Paul’s, Rensselaer. She estimates she has made well over 500 dresses. Janet welcomes donations of cotton fabric, bias tape and additional sewers for the children’s dresses. There is a simple pattern to follow for different sizes, as well as a basic “pillowcase” version. Contact the church office for more information.
The dresses are sent to remote rural communities in a number of underdeveloped countries. They are distributed by volunteers and relationships are formed that lead to assistance in meeting the need for clean water and education opportunities, as well. Hope Lutheran Church, 470 Winter Street Extension, North Greenbush, offers a spiritual home open to all with Sunday Communion service at 10 AM, followed by coffee hour. Child care is available, and Sunday School meets Sunday evenings. Bible Study at noon every Wednesday and prayer group at 1:45 PM second and fourth Wednesdays, with additional meditation and wellness programs offered.

Blooming Grove Welcomes New Minister, Reverend Paige A. Convis
Blooming Grove Reformed Church is very pleased to welcome to our pulpit a new Minister of Word and Sacrament, the Reverend Paige A. Convis. Reverend Convis earned her Master of Divinity at Western Theological Seminary. She also continues to serve as pastor of the Reformed Dutch Church of Schodack at Muitzeskill.
Reverend Convis is committed to communicating the love of God through listening to and offering compassion to the people she meets.
Blooming Grove Reformed Church is a part of the body of Jesus Christ. As members of Christ’s body, we seek to faithfully serve our Savior today through worship, fellowship, and service. Our mission extends from our own neighborhood and community into various areas of the United States and around the world.
All people are welcome at our worship services, which begin at 9:00 am. Sunday School for children ages 3-18 begins at 9:15 am.
