Join us for the monthly Knights of Columbus “All-You- Can-Eat” Pancake breakfast on Sunday, February 17th, from 8am -11am in Damman Hall at St Jude the Apostle School located at 24 Dana Ave in Wynantskill, NY.

Breakfast includes “All-You- Can-Eat” pancakes, eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, coffee, juice, fruit, bagels, cereal, sweets, and more.  Can’t stay? Grab a to-go container!!  Kids 5 and under are FREE, adults $8, kids under 12 $4.

VFW Post 7338, Hays Road, East Greenbush will hold a Pancake Breakfast Buffet on Sunday, Feb 17, 2019, from 9 am to 12 noon.

Buttermilk Pancakes, French Toast, Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausages, Home Fries, Corned Beef Hash, Toast, Sliced Peaches, Coffee, Tea, Water and Juice.

Adults – $9.00, Children 6 to 12 – $5.00, Children under 6 – Free.

The VFW is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Veterans, their Families and the community.

 

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

Trinity Church Lansingburgh, 585 Fourth Avenue in Troy, invites you to attend our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on March 5, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. We will serve the traditional pre-Lenten meal of pancakes, syrup, sausage and applesauce. Go Vegan: Pics California burger vegan, Price Chopper veggie burgers vegan, Quorn chik’n patties vegan, So Delicious Ice Cream bars vegan, Wheatena toasted wheat cereal. The Glendora vegan commercial played well on the Super Bowl Pre-game show, we have converts.  February 25, 2019, Monday, at 6:30pm the Nassau Free Library is presenting a program to relive the joys of 1955-1962 coming home from school and watching the S.S. Glendora and Glendora Satellite Six on WRGB Channel 6 TV.  Please join us; vegan refreshments will be served. Library Director Tracey Clague has already received several happy recollections of the shows from Beverly Hills, Oregon, Pittsfield, East Greenbush from the seven- year-olds (now 68 years old) who were ardent fans.  The flame still sparkles in their hearts.

Fish Fry Dinners at South Schodack Volunteer Fire Co.

The South Schodack Volunteer Fire Co. will again offer Fish Fry dinners on Friday evenings, 5:15 to 7:00 p.m., at 1563 Bame Rd., Castleton, during Lent. Dinners will begin on March 8 and end on Good Friday, April 19. Hot dogs, Chicken, and Clam chowder will also be served. Eat in or Take out. Phone: 518-732-2082.

The Home Bureau will be doing a raffle for the benefit of the South Schodack Volunteer Fire Co.

Pot Roast Dinner Fundraiser

Pot Roast Dinner at Duncan’s Dairy Bar, 890 Hoosick Road,

Troy, for Cindy and Homer Bornt on Wednesday, February 20th, from 4-7 pm.

Dinner includes pot roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, homemade bread, butter, beverage and dessert.

$15.00 for full dinner and $10.00 for half dinner.  Eat in or take out.

All proceeds to be turned over to the Bornt Family to offset expenses related to Homer’s out-of-pocket cancer treatments.

Dinners will not be sold in advance, however, you may call on the 20th to order take-out.
