Animal Tracking on Snowshoes
Grafton –On Saturday, December 21st from 1-3PM explore the winter woods at the Dyken Pond Environmental Education Center looking for animal tracks and other animal signs. When it snows, nature is providing a blank canvas on which the forest’s residents paint us pictures of their activities which remain largely a mystery to us through the snow free months. Learn how to read the clues left behind by the forest’s residents. We will either snowshoe or hike depending on conditions. Program is open to all ages who can snowshoe/hike at a moderate pace for 2 hours in winter conditions. Snowshoe rentals are available with advance notice for $5. Preregistration required. Free. For more information or to preregister please contact the Center at dykenpond@nullgmail.com or (518) 658-2055.
