Rosekrans Award 2018

The recipient of this year’s Rosekrans Award is Chantz Boleski. This award is selected by the cattle program in memory of Helen Rosekrans, a long-time cattle leader and Schaghticoke Fair “Mom” to all. It is designed to recognize an outstanding high school graduating senior who has been a “model” 4-H member and who has been involved in the cattle program throughout their 4-H Career. Members who have been active not only in showing cattle but have taken advantage of other offerings 4-H has in terms of the educational events related to cattle. Chantz Boleski graduated from Hoosic Valley in 2018. He has shown cattle at the Schaghticoke Fair since he was old enough to be in 4-H. In addition to be an avid dairy cattle showman, he was very active in sports and was a member of the Tri County Holstein Junior Club. He is currently attending Hudson Valley Community College. His parents are Sue and Rich Boleski, and Chantz still helps them on their farm in Schaghticoke.
