Grafton Senior Center Weekly News

Rensselaer County’s Everett Wagar Senior Center, 2 Roxborough Rd, Cropseyville, will be open with limited hours. The center is now open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 3:00 with congregate lunch and activities. Monday, Wednesday and Fridays the center will be open 9:30 to 1:00. Chair Yoga continues on Monday and Fridays at 10:00. Tuesdays offer Senior Yoga Plus class at 10:00. Both yoga sessions are low impact exercise that seniors can do at their own pace. 

Nov 22nd Rachel will do haircuts/mani’s/pedi’s by Appt only. Call now for an appointment time. The center will be closed Nov 23rd through the 25th for Thanksgiving. Thank you to all that supported the Basket Raffle fundraiser. It was a success.

Congregate lunch is served at the senior center Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon for a suggested donation of $3 for seniors and a cost of $5 for non-seniors. Please call early to be added to the lunch list at (518) 279-3413 so we can be sure to have enough food pre-pared.

East Side Seniors

Our December meeting will be on Dec.13th., at 12:30, at Paolo Lombardi’s, serving at 1:00. 

Our next business meeting will be on 10-10-23, at the American Club, Main Av., Wynantskill. We will discuss the WILWOOD TRIP planned for June 4th – June 9th, and other future trips. Dessert will be served and games of choice will be available. Hope to see you soon.

Sycaway Seniors

On Monday, Nov. 21, at noon, hairdresser Dina McDonald of “This Where It’s At” salon, located at 441 5th Avenue, Lansingburgh will be visiting Sycaway Seniors. We meet at the Brunswick Community Center at 18 Keys Lane. Ms. McDonald has offered to give two members a new hair stye for the holidays, free of charge. She will bring her beauty supplies and explain how they could benefit each senior. 

Our nest meeting will be on Monday, Dec. 5th. At that time, we will have our exciting Christmas party which is being catered by Testo’s Restaurant. The menu is for ziti, sausage& peppers, meatballs and tossed salad. Music will be provided, by Bob Treffiletti and there will be singing and dancing by all. We will have tree decorating and a grab bag. Bring a friend, Guests are welcome for the party for $10.00 each.

Elvis Sings Gospel
