Scaway Seniors Fall Sessions
The Scaway Seniors meet the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at noon. The meeting hal is at Keyes Lane, off of Hoosick St., Brunswick Recreation Bldg. Turn at Howie’s Jewelery store on Hoosick St. The building has a ramp for entering. All flat floors and handicap accessible. Safe, close parking.
Last week we recruited 5 new members. Looking for more men and women to fill our comfortable chairs for friendship and fun. Making new friends, hearing informative programs, eating homemade refreshments, taking trips, eating out, some fun and laughter in our lives ahead.
Coming up Monday, October 18th at noon. Stewart’s of Brunswick supplying free Make-Your-Own Sundaes. Please bring a friend and enjoy their delicious ice cream and toppings. All you can eat! Each meeting – also Bingo and 50/50 for the challange.
Grafton Senior Center News
CROPSEYVILLE – Rensselaer County’s Everett Wagar Senior Center, 2 Roxborough Rd, Cropseyville, will be open with limited hours. State and County Guidelines will be posted and must be followed at all times. The center is now open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 3:00 with congregate lunch and activities. Van transportation to and from the center will be available on limited days. Please call to be placed on the list.
A nutritious congregate meal will be served at noon every Tuesday and Thursday. There is a suggested $3 donation per meal. Following lunch on Oct 12th there will be Candy Bingo. The Eastern Tier (Grafton) Senior Membership meeting has been rescheduled for Thurs, October 14th at 11:00 am. All area residents 60 and over should plan to attend to discuss upcoming events, election of officers, and more. Following lunch, we will celebrate October birthdays with cupcakes and a fun game of trivia.
The center will be open Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 am for Chair Yoga. There is also Yoga class on Tuesday. All are welcome to attend the classes. Oct 13th the Quilt Group will meet at 9:30.
Looking ahead, there will a Halloween Costume Party on Thursday, Oct 28th with Special music by Sal Graziano. Starting planning your costume (prizes will be given out), and plan to come for games, treats, dancing, singing and more.

Men Senior Bowlers Wanted!
EAST GREENBUSH – Men’s Senior Bowling League (60 years & older) is looking for new bowlers. We bowl every Friday starting at 12:15 PM at the East Greenbush Bowling Center on Columbia Turnpike. This is a fun, relaxed league. All bowlers, beginners to experts, are welcomed. If interested, stop by on any Friday to join the league. The Brunswick Seniors Traveling Again
BRUNSWICK – Join us as we travel to Holyoke Ma. to a luncheon at the Log Cabin Banquet and Meeting House and a show “Country Legends of the Past”. After the show we will visit the Christmas Store for a bit of shopping, then we will board our bus and head for home. Cost is $65.00 pp. For information call Jean at 518-273-7906. Good News, Grab and Go Lunch is Available Five Days a Week
RENSSELAER – The Rensselaer County Rensselaer Senior Center are offering nutritious meals Monday through Friday. Pickup is at 11:30. Please call the day before to order your lunch and enjoy a hot homemade meal 5 times a week. Must be 60 years old to participate in this great program. Suggested contribution is $3 per meal. POESTENKILL – Our weekly meetings are held every Tuesday at 1:00 in the afternoon at the Sullivan Jones Post in Poestenkill. All seniors are welcome. We have catered lunches, pizza, clam steams, fish fries and luncheons that are held at various restaurants and best of all bus trips to casinos, theaters and points of interest.
Informational talks on senior safety and health are given from time to time. Dues are $15.00 a year. Coffee and refreshments are served after the meeting followed by Bingo and cards. Come join the fun and a afternoon out. The hall is handicapped accessible with sufficient parking. Hope to see you there.
