East Greenbush Loses Great Community Resident

Our community suffered a great loss over the weekend when Pete Stenson of East Greenbush passed away unexpectedly.  Pete was an engaged and active resident of the Town of East Greenbush, respected for not only his knowledge of fiscal and political issues, but mostly for his civil and congenial nature.  As chairman of the East Greenbush Democratic Committee and First Vice Chair of the Rensselaer County Democratic Committee, Pete was a tireless advocate for all the candidates he believed in.  Pete will be remembered, however, as a gentleman who showed respect for his adversaries and who welcomed a spirited debate.  He was a frequent contributor to the Advertiser.  He truly appreciated the readership and looked forward to the contrasting views which the paper inspired each week.  Pete Stenson was a friend of democracy and he will be sorely missed by all who were touched by him.
