East Schodack Fire Company Pizza Night
EAST SCHODACK – Pizza & Wing Night is back! Saturday September 11th. Unfortunately eat-in is still not an option yet. All orders will be pickup only. Menu includes: Fresh made pizza –Cheese (red or white) $9, extra toppings $1 each. “The works”- $14 , chicken wings- 10 for $9, mozzarella sticks- six for $3. Pick up times begins at 4:00, Call 518- 479-3366 after 2:00pm to place an order. Pizza night will then be the first Saturday of each month from October thru June. Salem United Methodist Church – Roast Beef Dinner – Curbside
WEST SAND LAKE – We will be hosting a Curb side pick-up, Roast Beef dinner on Saturday, September 12, 2020. The menu includes; sliced Roast beef, gravy, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, green beans, vegetable medley, roll, and cake for dessert. Cost is $12.00 per person. Pick up is 4:00pm-6:00pm. Reservations are encouraged, drive ups without reservations will be based upon availability, call/text Carol at 518-330-7609. The roast beef dinner is being held in lieu of the Church Annual Fair.
Gilead’s Annual Chicken Barbeque
CENTER BRUNSWICK – Circle Saturday, September 12th on your calendar! A delicious meal begins at 4:00 PM and end at 6:00 PM. This fabulous feast takes place at the Gilead Lutheran Church located at the intersection of Routes 7 & 278 in Center Brunswick. For as little as $10.00 you get half a barbequed chicken, baked potato, corn on the cob, cole slaw, brownies and cookies for dessert. Gilead is again handicapped accessible.

Lunch In The Garden Webinars
RENSSELAER COUNTY – Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rensselaer County will continue offering the popular, free “Lunch In The Garden” webinars on Wednesdays in September. Each week a different gardening topic is discussed, with a question and answer period following the presentation. “Weeds, Wildflowers and Trees of Papscanee Island” will be offered on Wednesday, September 16 at Noon, when David Chinery will take you on a virtual tour of this hidden park along the Hudson River. Master Gardener Keith Austin will get us thinking about fall bulbs and their spring color in “Selecting, Buying and Planting Glorious Spring Bulbs” on Wednesday, September 30 at Noon. Schodack Valley Fire Co. Pizza and Wings Night is Back
CASTLETON – The Schodack Valley Volunteer Fire Company is thriiled to annouce it will hold our famous pizza night on Saturday September 19th. There are important changes to our usual procedures. This is a Take Out Only Event. You must call ahead at 518-477-4215 to place your order. Hours are 4pm-7pm. Masks are required while picking up your order. Our firehouse is located at 1553 Schodack Valley Rd. Castleton, NY.
South Schodack Fire Company Annual Chicken & Rib BBQ
SOUTH SCHODACK – The South Schodack Volunteer Fire Company will be holding their annual chicken & ribs BBQ on Sunday, September 20th from 3:00 – 6:00 PM. The BBQ will be a takeout drive thru only style service. All dinners include 1/2 chicken or 1/2 rack of ribs, baked potato, corn on the cob (provided by GEM Farms), cabbage slaw, baked beans, and dinner roll. Adult dinners: $12 for chicken, $15 for ribs. Child’s dinner (12 & under): $5 for 1/4 chicken. NO RESERVATIONS NEEDED. Come on out and support those that serve your community.
Fall 2020 Chicken Bar-B-Q
POESTENKILL – The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Poestenkill, 772 Route 351, Poestenkill, NY 12140 will hold our Fall 2020 Chicken Bar-B-Q on Saturday, October 3rd at the church with a DRIVE-THROUGH, TAKE-OUT ONLY dinner.
The meal consists of: ½ chicken, baked potato, green beans, Cole slaw, cranberry sauce, roll and choice of homemade apple or pumpkin pie for dessert for a donation of $12 per meal.
