Hope’s Kitchen Community Dinner
LANSINGBURGH – Hope’s Kitchen, a ministry of Hope Lutheran Church and Cornerstone Community Church of Lansingburgh will be serving a free community dinner on Thursday, September 2 from 3:30 to 6:30 pm, at Cornerstone, 570 3rd Avenue, Troy. Please note: Due to the rise in COVID 19 cases, this dinner will be PICK UP ONLY. Reservations are required. Menu is: Penne pasta with meatballs, tossed salad, roll and butter. Dessert is cookies, sugar, chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin. To make a required reservation ahead of time, please call Nancy at (518-235-3851). Pick up will be at Cornerstone Church kitchen door.
Hoags Corners Volunteer Fire Company Breakfast is Back!!
NASSAU – Hoags Corners Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting its First Sunday of the Month All You Can Eat Breakfast, September 5th, from 8am to 11am at the Hoags Corners Fire Station, 7237 State Route 66, East Nassau, NY 12062. Our Buffet-Style All You Can Eat Breakfast includes: Scrambled eggs-Plain or with Ham & Cheese, Home Fries, Bacon, Sausage, French Toast, Pancakes-Plain and/or Blueberry & Apple. Plus: Applesauce, Fruit Cocktail, English Muffins, Coffee, Tea, Milk-Regular and/or Chocolate, and Orange Juice. Cost is Adults $10; Children (6-12yrs) $5; 5yrs & younger are FREE. Chicken Barbeque
CENTER BRUNSWICK – Gilead Lutheran Church will be holding their annual chicken BBQ on Saturday, September 11th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. – prepared by our own cooks.
Dinner will consist of half chicken, baked potato, whole ear of corn, coleslaw, roll and dessert (brownies and cookies). Cost is $12 and will be take-out only.

Armenian Festival
TROY – Holy Cross Armenian Apostolic Church is having their annual Armenian Festival at 255 Spring Avenue, Troy, on Saturday, September 25, from 12pm to 8pm and on Sunday, September 26, from 12pm to 4pm. Delicious shish kebob dinners will be available for eat-in or take-out. A variety of Armenian pastries will also be offered.
