South Schodack Volunteer Fire Company Chicken & Rib BBQ
South Schodack Volunteer Fire Company is celebrating its 65th year of service to the community! Also 60 years of having chicken barbecues, and 51 years of holding bingo!
We would like to thank the Town of Schodack residents for their great support, as well as the past leadership that shaped this organization into what it is today. Remember our chicken & rib barbecue is on Sunday, August 21st from 3-6:00 PM, and our Bingo starts September to May (1st & 3rd Sundays of each month – starts September 18th). Giuliano’s BBQ at St. Michael the Archangel Church – 9/16, 4:00 – 6:00
The Women’s Guild of St. Michael’s Church, Williams Road, in North Greenbush, NY is sponsoring a Giuliano’s barbeque Friday, September 16 from 4:00 – 6:00. The cost is $15.00 and it includes ½ chicken, baked potato, corn on the cob, coleslaw, roll and a homemade brownie. Drive through only. Dinners should be pre-ordered by Sunday, September 11. Veterans Of Sand Lake Chicken BBQ
The Veterans of Sand Lake in Averill Park will be holding our Chicken BBQ on Saturday, August 20th, 2022. Call the Post at (518) 674-2309 to pre-order chicken halves only (no full dinners) from 8:00 am the day of the BBQ. Price of the BBQ is $8.00. The most succulent BBQ Chicken you will ever eat. Pick up your order between 11:00 AM — 4:00 PM. The next Chicken BBQ will be held on October 15th, 2022.
Gilead Lutheran Church’s Annual Chicken Barbeque
It is really not too soon to start thinking of our Chicken Barbeque. This will be on Saturday, September 10, 2022 from
4-6 pm. This is a big event for our church and Brunswick. Every year we seem to sell out and people get left without a meal or going somewhere else to eat. Our menu, (in case you forgot) is ½ a BQ chicken, baked potato, corn on the cob, coleslaw, roll, and cookies for dessert.

Glendora Vegeterian Club
Thank you, local food pantry, for offering us plant based hamburgers for the first time. We had Bowl and Basket, a Shoprite brand, and I cannot tell the difference. It is a meatless beef style patty, and I don’t think anyone could tell the difference. It is an excellent source of 16 g of plant based protein. Quality assured! To prepare: Spray a skillet with coking oil and gently simmer for 3 minutes on each side. I don’t believe you could tell the difference.
Plant based protein is original protein. It is not second hand meat protein. It did not cost the horror of agony, torture and living a life in urine and feces.
