Spring 2021 Chicken BAR-B-Q
POESTENKILL – The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Poestenkill, 772 Route 351, Poestenkill, NY 12140 will hold our Spring 2021 Chicken Bar-B-Q on Saturday, May 1st at the church with a DRIVE-THROUGH, TAKE-OUT ONLY dinner.
The meal consists of: ½ chicken, baked potato, green beans, Cole slaw, cranberry sauce, roll and choice of homemade Cherry or Lemon Meringue pie for dessert for a donation of $13 per meal or $7 for ½ chicken only while supply lasts.
Pick-up time begins at 4:30 pm & ends at 6 pm. We would greatly appreciate EARLY pre-orders for the meals or ½ chicken only by calling (518) 283-1447. Walk-in meals ONLY IF AVAILABLE, as our Fall 2020 dinner was sold out. Thank you for your support.
We will be wearing face coverings and request you do the same while visiting us. Outdoor social distancing will be practiced.

Fundraiser to Benefit The NOPIATES Committee
TROY – Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church, located at 520 Pawling Ave, Troy, NY, will host a benefit roast pork dinner on Saturday, May 1. Dinner is Take Out only. Cost is $12 for adults, $6 for children 6-12 and free for children 5 and under. The menu is roast loin of pork with dressing, candied glazed carrots, rice pilaf, roll and homemade apple crisp for dessert. Reservations are limited and can be made by calling Melanie at 518-779-6004. Meals can be picked up between 3 and 4:30 pm. Donations are also appreciated and all proceeds will benefit The NOPIATES Committee, a local support, awareness and education organization. Giffy BBQ to Benefit Rensselaer County 4-H Teen Exchange
TROY – Thursday, May 6th with pickup from 4 to 6 PM – Rensselaer County 4-H Teen Exchange will benefit from a Giffy BBQ being held at Capital Agway located at 1333 NY Route 7, Troy. This will be a curbside effort and cost per dinner which includes a 1/2 chicken, coleslaw, roll, potato and cookie are $12 each. Curbside/Take out only and distancing requirements will be followed. East Greenbush Fire Department “Fair Food Funday’s”
EAST GREENBUSH – The East Greenbush Fire Department will be hosting Fair Food fundraiser at the fire station located at 68 Phillips Road East Greenbush. The dates are May 7 – 9 from 11:00 am – 7 :00 pm where food from a food truck with all types of fair type foods available, steak sandwich, sausage sandwich, french fries, deep fried oreos, and many more foods available. Come support the fire department for a great time and good food. Due to Covid 19 this is Take Out event only.
Kiwanis Pasta Dinner Fundraiser “Take-Out” Only
SAND LAKE – Second Saturday of Each Month – The Sand Lake Kiwanis Club wants to invite all to participate in the next Pasta Dinner fundraiser on Saturday May 8th from 4pm-7pm at the Sand Lake Veterans Hall on Rt. 43. Cost: $10 for adults, $5 for Kids (10yrs. & Younger), or $25 Special for a Family of 4. Meals will consist of pasta, meatballs, salad, bread, & dessert. All Meals are Drive-Up/Take-Out. Scout Troop 166 Chicken BBQ Dinner
Nassau – Scout Troop 166 will be holding a take-out chicken bar-b-q dinner event on Saturday, May 15, 2021 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Chandler Young VFW Post. Each dinner will include a half chicken, baked potato, coleslaw, corn bread and a cookie. This is a take out only event.
