Glendora Vegeterian Club

When Glendora lived in Columbia County, she had a close friend named Florence. Two years later Florence had to move to Rensselaer County to take care of her daughter who had broken her leg. During all the time she was in Rensselaer County what she liked best was having the Advertiser delivered to her home and seeing an article every week by her friend Glendora. It was the jokes she liked so much.

The American Vegan Society Quarterly reports that Ben Franklin first ate tofu in 1770 as a diplomat in London. He sent soybeans to the most prominent botanist in the Colonies with harvesting and cooking instructions. In 1817 William Metcalf started the American Vegetarian Society in Philadelphia. He was a Bible Christian.

Please support the American Vegan Society at AmericanVegan.org.

In less than 20 days, Glendora will be 94 years old – no doctors, no medicine, vegan.
