Glendora Vegetarian Club
Glendora’s income is $2600 a month, and the maximum you can make with Medicaid is $880 a month. If you subtract $880 from $2600, the difference is called a “spend down.” If you put the spend down amount in a Trust to pay monthly for rent, groceries, utilities, aids and all other essentials with a credit card, then Medicaid will pay all your medical bills. Isn’t that nice?
In February the Glendora Vegetarian Club turned 9 years old. Glendora bought $50 worth of Vegan Whoppers from Burger King to treat her friends and herself.

1. A woman traveled across country by Greyhound Bus, and at a bus stop out West she ordered a cup of coffee. The coffee was too hot to drink, and she was frantic that the bus would leave without her. A big western man was watching this, so he slid his cup of coffee to her, saying, “Here, ma’am, you can have mine. It’s been saucered and blowed on.”

Kiwanis Pasta Dinner Fundraiser “Take-Out” Only
SAND LAKE – The Sand Lake Kiwanis Club wants to invite all to participate in the next Pasta Dinner fundraiser on Saturday April 10th from 4PM to 7PM at the Sand Lake Veterans Hall on Rt. 43. Cost: $10 for adults, $5 for Kids (10yrs. & Younger), or $25 Special for a Family of 4. Meals will consist of pasta, meatballs, salad, bread, & dessert. All Meals are Drive-Up/Take-Out. Pre Orders may be made starting at 2 PM (on the day of the event) by calling (518) 421-1339. Pasta Dinners will continue to be held every second Saturday of each month. All proceeds support Kiwanis community projects.

Lasagna Dinner (Take Out)
East Greenbush – Van Rensselaer Star Chapter #256, Order of the Eastern Star, in East Greenbush is holding a takeout Lasagna Dinner on Saturday, April 10th from 4:30 – 6 pm at the Masonic Temple which is located at 710 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush.
