Just show up and you will return!” Our new home begins on Thursday, March 31 and continues every Thursday morning. “Come on down! That’s an ORDER!”

Glendora Vegeterian Club

As Catherine Jura says in Coop Scoop, the monthly magazine of Honest Weight Food Co-op, “Veganism is the practice of refraining from the use of animal products, particularly in one’s diet, and an accompanying philosophy that rejects animals as a commodity.” Jura is writing about Andrea Shaye, Operations Manager of the Capital Region Vegan Network (CRVN). She and her family are “all-in” veganists. She wears many hats from membership to operations, “but she especially enjoys supporting people in aligning their values with their choices.” On January 9th CRVN joined Honest Weight in hosting a Love of Vegan Potluck. The website for CVRN is capregionvegans.org.

On April 3rd the Glendora Vegan Club will host a free open house whereby each attendee will go to the freezer and pick out 1 of 50 vegan entrees, cook it, and sit down and eat it. Seconds and thirds will be encouraged. Bring your own plate and fork. You will be joining Glendora’s friends from Connecticut.

1. Adam said to God, “I need a helper. I need someone to roll up this tent. I need someone to do the cooking. I need someone to make the beds.”

God said, “That will cost you an arm and a leg.”

Adam said, “How about a rib?”

2. Did you hear about the couple who got married so late in life that Medicare picked up 80% of the honeymoon?

3. A man jumped out of an airplane, but the parachute would not open. He saw another man coming up from the earth and said to him, “Do you know anything about parachutes?”

The other man said, “No, do you know anything about gas stoves?”

4. A man wanted to make his wife feel young and beautiful. He said, “Honey, you look the same as you did 25 years ago. She said, “That’s because I’m wearing the same dress.”

5. A woman bragged, “Our dining room table goes back to Louis the Fourteenth.”

Another woman said, “Our dining room table goes back to J.C. Penny the Fifteenth.”
