Glendora Vegeterian Club

Come to a free vegan supper at St. Luke’s Church on Rte. 9 in Valatie, just south of Hannaford Plaza, and treat your tummy to food without blood and bones. This supper is being cooked by faithful members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Kinderhook, founded by Ellen White in the 1800s to be strictly vegetarian. She based this fervent devotion on Genesis 1:19 in the Old Testament. She also followed a regimen of saintly eating to avoid cruelty to animals. Do you know what her 4th reason was? The answer is health.

 Jokes

1.the policeman said to the little boy, “Is your family related to the family next door?”

The boy said, “Yes, their dog is our dog’s brother.”

2. The dollar bills in the man’s pocket were talking to each other. The 20 dollar bill was explaining what an exciting life he had had. He’d been through 3 inaugurations, 1 coronation and around the world 4 times. The 10 dollar bill said he also had had a life that exciting. They both asked the 1 dollar bill where he had gone with his life. The dollar bill said, “Churches, churches, churches.”

3. Mommy, we had a fire in school today.

Mommy: Oh, that’s dreadful

Little girl: We’ve been rehearsing for that all year.

4. Harry said, “I don’t want to go to school today. The kids don’t like me; the teachers don’t like me; even the custodians have it in for me.” His mother said, “You are going to school today. You have much to learn and much to contribute. Besides, you are 45 years old and the principal.”

5. The minister wrote on the blackboard, “I pray for all.” The lawyer wrote, “I plead for all.” The doctor wrote, “I prescribe for all.” The ordinary man wrote, “I pay for all.”
