Glendora Vegeterian Club

Did you ever hear of Vaudeville? It was very popular for 50 years, then people turned to radio and motion pictures. Their popularity lasted for 50 years, then gave way to broadcast TV which was dominant for about 50 years. Then cable TV took over. It has been around for 50 years, but now it’s teetering, being overshadowed by the computer and the smartphone. Their 50 years will be over soon. Tell us what is going to be the next big breakthrough. Space travel? Artificial intelligence? No more cruelty to animals? Selflessness? Peace on Earth?

Jokes

1. Mommy, you remember that vase that was handed down from generation to generation?

Mommy: Yes.

Child: Well, this generation dropped it.

2. Boyle’s Law: What happens when a body is immersed in water? The smartphone rings.

3. Daddy, what is the difference between lightning and electricity?

Daddy: You don’t have to pay for lightning.

4. Professor to student: “What do you know about the speed of light?”

Student: “Nothing, sir, except that it gets here too early in the morning.”

5. A student was taking an exam to get a job on the state dam. The question was: “What does the word hydrodynamics mean?” He wrote, “It means I don’t get the job.”

6. Daddy, what does “college bread” mean?

It’s a 4 year loaf paid for by the old man’s dough.

7. My friend Sandy called and asked what she should bring me for supper. She heard voices in the background and said maybe she’d bring more than 1 meal. She asked, “How many people are you anticipating eating tonight?” Glendora said, “I’m not anticipating eating any people tonight.”
