Latham-Colonie Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry

LATHAM – Lenten Fish Fry beginning  Friday February 28th, 2020 and continuing every Friday during Lent including Good Friday April 10th, 2020,  the Latham-Colonie Knights of Columbus at 328 Troy-Schenectady Road, Latham, N.Y. 12110, will will host their Fish Fry Dinners serving from 5 pm to 7 pm. Menu includes; Baked Fish $12.00 with  Twice Baked Potato, coleslaw, vegetable, roll and butter.  Fish Fry or Clam Roll Dinner $10.00 is served with French Fries or Onion Rings and coleslaw. *All above Dinners served with Coffee, Tea or Hot Chocolate and Dessert.​

23rd Annual Fish Fry Dinners at South Schodack Volunteer Fire Co.

SO. SCHODACK – The South Schodack Volunteer Fire Co will again offer Fish Fry dinners on Friday evenings, 5:15 to 7:00 p.m., at 1563 Bame Rd. Castleton, during Lent. Dinners will begin on February 28 and end on Good Friday April 10. Hot dogs, Chicken, and Clam chowder will also be served. Eat in or Take out. Phone: 732-2082.

Leap Year Chicken Barbecue

TROY – Chicken Barbecue on February 29, 2020. Yes, you read that right. The Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church will host a chicken barbecue on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 4 PM until 6 PM or until sold out .The chicken will be cooked in front of the church and the meals can be available for pick up in the Harry Taylor Hall ( Fellowship Hall).

The menu for the barbecue is a barbecued chicken half, baked potato, baked beans, cole slaw, and a brownie. Meals for adults are $12.00, meals for children 5 to12 years of age will be $6.00 and there is no charge for meals for children under 5 years of age.

Hoags Corners Volunteer Fire Company Breakfast

NASSAU – Hoags Corners Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting its First Sunday of the month All You Can Eat Breakfast. March 1st from 8 am to 11 am at the Hoags Corners Fire station 7237 State Route 66, East Nassau, NY 12062. Our Buffet-Style All You Can Eat Breakfast includes: Scrambled eggs-Plain or with Ham & Cheese, Home Fries, Bacon, Sausage, French Toast, Pancakes-Plain and/or Blueberry & Apple. Plus: Applesauce, Fruit Cocktail, English Muffins, Coffee, Tea, Milk- Regular and/or Chocolate, and Orange Juice. Cost: Adults $9.00;  Children (6-12yrs) $4.00; 5yrs & younger are FREE.  Eat in or Take Out. VFW Monthly Breakfast

VALLEY FALLS – The monthly breakfast at the VFW Post 1938, Valley Falls, NY, will now be held on the first Sunday of each month (not the second Sunday) starting on March 1, 2020. Menu includes eggs cooked to order, French toast, pancakes, sausage, bacon, toast, potatoes, biscuits with sausage gravy, fruit, juice and coffee. Cost is $8 (age 13 and over), $4 (ages 5-12), free (under 5).

All You Can Eat Breakfast

POESTENKILL – The Poestenkill Christian Church, 721 Snyders Corners Rd., Poestenkill, NY will be having its monthly all you can eat breakfast on March 7th from 8 to 11 AM. Cost is $8 for adults and $3.50 for children under 10. Menu includes eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, home fries, pancakes, French toast, juice, coffee, or tea.

Roast Beef Dinner, Boy Scouts Of America – Troop 166

NASSAU – The Scouts of Troop 166, Nassau, are hosting their annual fund-raising roast beef dinner at North Chatham United Methodist Church in the Hamlet of North Chatham (4274 Route 203) on Saturday March 7th. The dinner is all you can eat family style and includes rolls, roast beef, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, gravy, and dessert.

Eat-in Dinner cost: $15.00 adults, $7.50 children under 10; Take-out dinners are $15. Tickets are advance sale. Special delivery for Shut-ins (Home Delivery) and Take-out are not limited but should be ordered in advance. Doors open at 4:45pm –- Dinner will start at 5:00PM –- Take-out service starts at 5:30.

Immediately following dinner is the ever-popular auction, which is noted for great deals on high-quality items and gift certificates donated by the great local businesses.

East Schodack Fire Company Pizza Night

EAST SCHODACK – Please join us on Saturday, March 7th for our monthly Pizza Night. Menu includes: Fresh made pizza-Cheese(red or white) $9, extra toppings $1 each. “the works”- $14 , chicken wings- 10 for $9, mozzarella sticks- six for $3, and a huge salad bar- $3 a bowl. Brunswick Grange Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner 

CENTER BRUNSWICK – The Brunswick Grange located on Rt 142 & 7 in Center Brunswick, 7 Grange Road, Troy, NY will be serving a Corned Beef & Cabbage Dinner with boiled potatoes and carrots, breads, delicious homemade desserts and beverage on Thursday, March 12th from 4pm to 6:30 pm.  $12.00 for adults, $10.00 for vets, and $5.00 for children under 12.  The proceeds to benefit grange community service projects. VFW Auxiliary to Post 7466 Annual Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner

POESTENKILL – The Auxiliary will be hosting their annual “Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner” on March 14th with one serving at 6:00 pm. Dinner menu of “All You Can Eat” Corned Beef, Cabbage, Potatoes, Carrots W/Brown Sugar, Onions, Apple Sauce, Rye Bread followed by dessert (Vanilla Ice Cream served with Crème de Menthe or Chocolate syrup and beverage. Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner

CASTLETON – As luck would have it, the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Castleton is once again having its Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner on Saturday, March 14 with servings at 4:30 and 6:00 p.m. The menu will include corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, Irish soda bread, dessert and coffee or tea all for only $13 per adult; $5 children 6-12 and free for children under 6. The proceeds from this dinner go to our missions program. Please call 518-732-7766 for reservations and takeout. Poestenkill Fire Company Roast Beef Dinner

POESTENKILL –  Please join us for a roast beef dinner on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at the Poestenkill Fire House, Main Avenue in Poestenkill. Dinner will be served family style and will consist of roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cole slaw, rolls, and homemade desserts. Serving time will be 5 pm to 6 pm. TROY – The Kiwanis Club of Troy is having their annual Giffy’s Chicken BBQ Friday May 8th from 4-6PM at St. Michael’s Church, Next to HVCC, in Troy.
