LATHAM – On Friday February 7th, 2020, the Latham-Colonie Knights of Columbus, 328 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Latham, N.Y. 12110, will hold a Fish Fry Dinner. Dinners are served from 5-7 PM. Kiwanis Monthly “All You Can Eat” Spaghetti Dinner

SAND LAKE – The Sand Lake Kiwanis Club wants to invite all to participate in a Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Saturday February 8th from 4PM to 7PM at the West Sand Lake Fire House on Rt. 43. All you can eat – $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 5 to 10 years old, kids under 5 are free. Meals will consist of spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, dessert & beverages. Take-out meals are also available by calling (518) 674-3677. A pasta dinner will continue to be held every second Saturday of each month. All proceeds support Kiwanis projects.

West Sand Lake Volunteer Fire Auxiliary Monthly Breakfast

WEST SAND LAKE – Please join the West Sand Lake Fire Dept-Auxiliary for Breakfast on February 16, 2020 from 7:30am to 11:30am at the West Sand Lake Fire hall. Eat In or Take Out. Call 674-3677. President’s Day Luncheon

EAST GREENBUSH –  Van Rensselaer Star Chapter #256, Order of the Eastern Star, is hosting a President’s Day luncheon on Monday, February 17th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the East Greenbush Masonic Temple, 710 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush. The proceeds from this luncheon will benefit the 16th annual Chapter’s scholarship fund which provides an award to a graduating senior girl from Columbia High School, Maple Hill High School and Rensselaer High School. Menu includes Baked Meatloaf, Scalloped Potatoes and all the trimmings. The cost is $12 for adults. Reservations should be made by calling Barbara at 518-772-1662 by February 12th.

Special Luncheon with Music by Brian Zapel

GRAFTON –  Rensselaer County’s Everett Wagar Senior Center, 2 Roxborough Rd, Grafton, will hold a Special Luncheon on Wednesday, February 12th at noon. Following the meal (Sliced Ham Cold Plate) there will be music entertainment by Brian Zapel. All residents 60 and older are encouraged to come and singing along, or join in with dancing. This is free entertainment. Lunch is served daily at the Senior Center for a suggested $3 donation. Call 518-279-3413 to be added to the list.

TROY – Your support as customers at our February fund raisers are appreciated. Wednesday night dinners on February 12th, Roasted Turkey & February 26th, Fish Fry Dinner at $11.00 each, serving 4-6:30PM. All dinners include coffee/tea/dessert. Take outs available. Friday Night Dinners on February 7th, Stuffed Chicken Breast or FR/BR Haddock, February 14th, Stuffed Pork Chop or FR/BR Haddock, February 21st, Shepard Pie or FR/BR Haddock & February 28th, Liver w/bacon & onions or Egg Omelet at $12.00 each, serving 5-7:30PM.

Emmanuel Reformed Church Chicken Parmesan Dinner

CASTLETON – The Emmanuel Reformed Church in Castleton is having its Chicken Parmesan Dinner on Saturday, February 8 at 5:30 p.m. The menu will include Chicken Parmesan, pasta, tossed salad, bread, make-your-own sundaes and coffee or tea all for only $12 per adult; $5 children 6-12 and free for children under 6. The proceeds from this dinner will go to summer christian camp for our youth. Please call 732-7766 for reservations and takeout. We are located at 1150 Maple Hill Road adjacent to the High School, have plenty of parking and are handicapped accessible. 

Hopes Kitchen Free Dinner

RENSSELAER – The Free Community Dinner for February will include, Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Cole Slaw, Rolls & Butter, choice of, Chocolate or /vanilla Pudding, Coffee, Lemonade, hot or iced tea. Dinner is served from 3:30 to 6:30 on Thursday February 13th. Everyone is welcome, singles, families, homeless, teens, and seniors, or if you just want a great home cooked meal. Including some friendly conversation with follow diners.

Hopes Kitchen is an ecumenical project of Hope Lutheran Church in North Greenbush, and Rensselaer Presbyterian Church in Rensselaer. We offer a free meal the second Thursday of every month.

The only qualification for the free meal is to arrive between 3:30 and 6:30. No church member solicitation will be conducted. We are not looking for church memberships, just trying to feed those that are hungry.

Hopes Kitchen is located inside Rensselaer Presbyterian Church, 34 Broadway in Rensselaer, look for our sidewalk sign. Welcome to all.

Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner

RENSSELAER –  Mark you calendar now for our annual dinner! On Sunday, February 16th, The Sons of the American Legion invite you to The Gerald O’Neil Post at 836 Broadway in Rensselaer for dinner. We will be serving from 1 – 6, and offer Eat In or Take Out. The meal will include: corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, rye bread, coffee, tea and dessert. (cash bar). All this for a donation of just $12pp or $11 for seniors! Feel free to call ahead for your take out orders at 518-465-3312. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to “Patriot Flight Inc.”

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

TROY – “The Our Lady of Victory Columbiettes of Troy will once again be hosting a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on, Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 PM. Supper includes, Pancakes, Sausage, Coffee, Fruit Cup. Cost is $7 Adults / $4 Children 5-12 / Children under 5 free. We are located at 55 North Lake Ave., Troy. We are handicap accessible.
