Applause! Applause! Applause! Burger King has The Impossible Whopper ensconced in all its locations. We were ecstatic to go to Hudson to enjoy a great vegan hamburger for which no animal was agonized. The taste is delectable, blameless, harmless and without rebuke. You can enjoy the same in Menands and Troy. We have been abiding this for decades, and we will patronize Burger King in appreciation.

Next week the vegan commercials to help the animals will be on CBS Channel 6 (WRGB) ‘twixt 6:30 and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday: new jokes, new audience laughter. Total airtime cost since April, 2017, is $51,550 for 283 (30-second) ads and 170 commercials.

Our esteemed friend Mary Lawrence, who has presented 2 programs in Nassau, states in her book Eat Vegan with Me something worth remembering: “Never underestimate the potential of just being a positive vegan role model to influence people, especially kids. Tap into their natural curiosity about life and their creativity. Kids are continually shaping their identities through their daily activities…”

Every second Friday Glendora tells 25 jokes at 6 p.m. at Open Mic at Nassau Free Library. Please join us and share any talent you have.

Jokes: 1. In Philippians 4 the Apostle Paul said: “I have learned to be content in no matter what state I find myself.” This includes the state of New York. 2. Little Billy said to little Joey that his aunt and uncle bought a new apartment. They call it a pandemonium. 3. The lawyer said, “I want a new trial on the basis of new evidence.” “What is the new evidence?” “I just found out my client has another $10,000.” 4. Bill said, “We named our son after my dad.” “What did you name him?” Bill said, “Pop.” 5. A disgruntled bachelor said that children in church should be like New Year’s resolutions: they should be carried out. Come to our meeting on October 30th at 6 p.m. at Burger King in Hudson, located on Rte. 9.
