Glendora Vegetarian Club

Glendora would like to read to you from the magazine of American Vegan Society. “The report by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) entitled ‘Livestocks’ Long Shadow’ contemplates actions to manage a doubling in livestock production to feed the projected 9 billion people alive in 2050. According to the Soil Association, FAO’s projection is based on a presumed large-scale expansion of the livestock sector, which would lead to ‘further destruction of natural habitats like rain-forests’ and would ‘not solve food insecurity.’ The FAO’s projection presumes that it is possible for the livestock sector to continue expanding. In contrast, a projection that demand for animal products could decline through at least 2030 has been published by the International Food Policy Research Institute in its report entitled ‘Feeding the Future’s Changing Diets.’” Erstwhile Glendora Vegetarian club hammers the channel 6 CBS news 6:30pm with “Go Vegan;” July 15 to 19 you will see 5 spandy new vegan commercials. Have you heard of the “wonder diet”? You eat anything you want; then you wonder why your clothes don’t fit. Glendora: 91 years old, no doctors, no medicine, vegan — Glendora 518.610.5810.
