Glendora Vegetarian Club

“Ten new speakers have been added to the AVS Speakers Bureau for American Vegan Magazine. Of these speakers are Star Alfriend and GW Chew. Star Alfriend became vegan with her husband in 2013. The couple are very happy with their decision. Her husband lost 65 lbs. while Star attributes her new diet to saving her life as she was diagnosed pre-diabetic. After one year of eating vegan, her health turned around. Star has a YouTube channel called Vegan Groupie where she instructs how to cook vegan meals. She is also working on her first cookbook. Chef Chew, a vegan of 15 years, founded the Veg Hub restaurant, a social enterprise that provides affordable vegan food and free cooking classes to the San Francisco Bay Area. He has a TV Show, Chew’s Challenge. Watch either for best tips, tricks and share plates for making your next vegan party — enjoy our jokes of the week: Marilyn babies her car. Her husband says it won’t go anywhere without a rattle. Describe the game of chess. Two people sit at a table for hours without moving. No, that is civil service. The Rabbi was so religious his contact lenses were stained glass.”
